Re: Advice on foil kite

Thanks for the tips. I'll not buy one now.
Wait till next year, see if I can demo one, or try an Airush Ultra that I can demo locally.

Re: Hydrofoil board building - dimensions & Layups

Thanks Terrie, Your board looks like what I'm planning, but I'll have more rocker into tail creating more continuous rocker like Ketos boards and plummet suggest. 40 is really narrow. 47 is what I'm used to. Have think about that. I have 3 blanks so maybe a 1350 and 1250 first and save the last blan...

Re: Advice on foil kite

Ok i hear what you guys are saying. If I get a foil to replace my 12m LEI, get a 12m foil and I'll get a bit more low-end and some more speed. 14knots plus I can use the 9m LEI. As first foil kite don't get a 9. I'm not interested in hydrofoiling in sub 10 knots due to the fact that it's not often s...

Re: Advice on foil kite

Grigorib,

That's what I was thinking. A Vorace with 590 wing. I could also just get the 590 wing and use it on the Fluente mast, which is probably smartest.

Information I was after is realistic range of a Chrono V2 9m.

Re: Advice on foil kite

Hi cwood, I'm into Freeriding. I'll never race. My budget is limited and if I buy a foil kite, I'll stay with my Fluente and 550 wing. If I keep my Mono 12-9 then I could get a Vorace mast ( longer) and another wing instead. I'm attracted to the idea of bringing one kite to Cabarete on holiday where...

Re: Recommend me 12-13m kite for strapless freestyle w/ excellent low end?

I have a quiver of 2016 monos 12-9-7 I've been using to strapless surfboard and hydrofoiling for 1 1/2 seasons. About 60-70 sessions, most on the 12 and 9. They have a lot of power per size. This is good on the SB, it's easy to moderate the power with an even an progressive power delivery on bar she...

Advice on foil kite

There's a 2017 Ozone Chronos 2, 9m2 with race bar , 2 hours of use time for sale in my country for 1500€ . I've been thinking about getting a foil for hydrofoiling , and wondering what wind range I can get out of this kite. I'm 78 kg riding a Moses fluente with 550 wing. I'd like to replace my singl...

Re: Kiteboard to Japenese language translation help

My Japanese colleagues also told me the Imperial flag is not PC. They kinda cringe when they see it. Interesting that westerners find it attractive, not sure what it is. The design is good, it evokes some sort of " go getter" attitude, I think. We don't associate it with the War and all the shit tha...

Re: February Wind conditions in Yucatan/ Quintana Roo

In was there last year in February for 2 weeks. 5 days at Holbox, rest down at Playa Maroma. It was mostly light winds. On day it was 10ms at Holbox as a front passed, then most days had a breeze 12-14 knots. There was a few good days at Holbox, but they were taking a boat up around mosquito point t...

Re: Samsung Gear S3 for kiting?

Get a Suunto. They know how to make a waterproof product because they make serious dive watches. I have an Ambit 3 I've used a season, in Sweden, in Brazil, in the hot tub. No problems.
