Re: Lecca-Lecca Minima 11m First Flight

off topic, but about depower: My friend said that he felt the Soul had less de-power, sat deeper in window. That said, he had an hour on it, and has been flying Sonic and Sonic 2 for several years.
So i can imagine there is that variation on kites that sit deeper in window.

Re: 9m Hyperlink UL loses pressure too soon

Since i have a hyperlink 9m UL, i checked my valves/socks last night. I´ve never even looked at them. The zippers were all closed. But my highly uninformed thinking is that perhaps the valve sock is : 1. not long enough 2. being held " open " in reverse pressure by a stiff zipper along one side. Tha...

Re: Cabrinha Contra vs. Core XR5 15 m

I had a XR2 17 LW a long time. I put a lot of sessions on it like Saltwater dog says. I probably used it 40% of my sessions. I'm 75kg. And it was fun from 11 knots.
I could loop it.
Then I started hydrofoiling and sold it last year as I'll only foil in wind under 20 knots now.

Re: 9m Hyperlink UL loses pressure too soon

I have probably 40 hrs on my Hyperlink 9m UL. Not having any problems. But not comparing inflation time or remaining inflated with anything else. I inflate and launch straight downwind every time. No pre inflation.

Re: Lecca-Lecca Minima 11m First Flight

laughingman, A Hyperlink 12UL will fly in less wind than any 12m Lei. But not sure it will have power enough. But it will definitely have more power than any 12m Lei. My 9m replaced my 12m North Mono. Low end is solid 8 knots, but not really fun until 10. Hence I bought 13m race kite.. A friend flew...

Re: How to build a bar? Just the rod/pole item ~60cm. Anyone done it?

This concern about breaking during sudden QR release isn’t a concern for me. It’s unlikely and the bar will be pulled out of your fingers anyway. Yes, but that Cl is accelerating and smashing against the bar center. I still want to test it... I don’t want to be 1km offshore in sideshore wind, in Br...

Re: Lecca-Lecca Minima 11m First Flight

I'm very interested to hear a review of this kite with a surf foil like a cloud9 24 or 27 or what I have is the LF Impulse. I am a bit concerned with the report that there is less depower. It is very easy to get overpowered with the big wings. ATM the biggest kite I like to use is a 10m OR Flite. S...

Re: Tube vs Softkite - an epic battle?

Funny. With Hyperlink I’ve gotten in the habit of taking the bar off. I just attach front and back pigtails to each other then put them in the Velcro. It takes only moments to shake out the bridle. I leave my bar on if I can, once you get the hang of it, getting launched ( alone) is way easier than...
