Re: If you have to trim your kite your over powered!

We have a saying round these parts "Rig for the Low End and Survive the High End!" 15-18mph gusting to almost 30 is not uncommon. I am that bloke who puts up a 14m fully depowered and is still bumping against the stopper in the gusts. I also weigh 200lbs and can hold down power and edge well so sod ...

Re: 2011 DaKine Renegade harness sizing?

If you only wear a rash guard, you may get away with the L, but if you plan on wearing more than a 2/3mm wetsuit, I would go for an XL for sure. I am a 36" wais as well and I prefer the XL in Dakine Harnesses. I always find it easier to crabnk down the straps than to try and squeeze into one size sm...

Re: Can old C kites be flown on SLE Bars?

I learned to kite on C kites back in 2004/2005. Most of my early kites were Fuels. Then I got a 16m Best BFK. I added a cleat to the 5th line (before Slingshot had the idea). The cleatable 5th line allowed me to dramatically extend the range of the 16m. Then 2006 arrived and I got a quiver of Waroos...

Mike, I applaud your efforts and wish you the best of luck. It can be a lonely and thankless job, trying to lead a non-profit venture to the benefit of all. There will always be those detractors and naysayers, but if you remain true to your intentions and confront all obstacles with an open mind, yo...

Re: Jay, the Company Boosting Harness Technology

Jay, glad to see you guys are still pushing the limits of innovation. I wanted to follow up on one point discussed earlier in this thread. I did Not need to sand/modify the 2011 V6 in any way to use it with my 2010 Dakine Nitrous Short Harness Clips. We had discussed the possibility of doing this, b...

Re: Jay, the Company Boosting Harness Technology

When I measure from the outside edge of one harness loop to the outside edge of the other, I get 34.5cm (staying as close as possible to the inside arc without removing it from the pad). So it looks like I do have a 13". Thank you for the clarification. I just ordered a new ski kite harness in XL, t...

Re: Jay, the Company Boosting Harness Technology

I am going Snow Kiting today and I was stoked to try my new Dynabar. However I do not want to use it if I have to send it back for a size exchange. Can anyone confirm if this is an 11" based on the sizing of their bar? I ask because when I get all my ski gear on, I can barely get the harness connect...

Re: Jay, the Company Boosting Harness Technology

Where is the width measurement taken from?

When I measure from one harness connection point to the other, I get 12.5".

When I measure from one bar/rope connection point to the other, I get 11".

I ordered a 13" inch, is that what I received?

Re: Jay, the Company Boosting Harness Technology

The V6 has the interchangeable bars of course and is a little "cleaner" construction, but functionality is the same as the V3. I'm also finding that majority of buyers are taking just one bar when ordering. So you need to decide if you want 2 bars or just 1 bar (freewave or freeride) with the V6 .....

Re: Jay, the Company Boosting Harness Technology

Jay, First I really like the innovation in your product and am looking strongly at the V6. Keep up the good work! Having said that, All of my harnesses are Dakine (Fusion, Storm, Nitrous) and use the metal hooks to hold the spreader bar. I noticed someone mention these will not fit the Dakine harnes...
