Re: Alternative kites to use with Mutiny 5 line bar

I regularly look round for any 2nd had kites on the market but they're pretty rare here in the UK. Do you check the Facebook group "KiteBay - Secondhand Kitesurf Listings" ? They have a bunch of stuff on there, there was a Mutiny up last week, it was an 8 though. Most annoying thing about the Mutin...

Re: Alternative kites to use with Mutiny 5 line bar

Probably most C kites. Slingshot, Wainman, Airush, Switch, Best, all have low Y C kites that do well with or even need a 5th line. true but they all have a different feel I guess. For example a Naish Torch is a pretty different beast I think but I'm not sure as I've never had the chance to try them...

Re: Alternative kites to use with Mutiny 5 line bar

Cheers for the reply. A little surprised that the Vegas works on the Mutiny bar as the North Bar has the high Y set up. Worth a further look I guess. Also wondering if the Best GP's would work. Are there any other options I wonder Yes I'd heard that one of the Mutiny guys works for Dyson while the o...

Alternative kites to use with Mutiny 5 line bar

Been riding Mutiny P Series kites 12m and 8m (2nd Gen) for a little while now and really like them and the bar system. Feels like a really good match for my riding style etc. I'm sticking with them but it sadly seems that Mutiny have pretty much fallen off the planet with the two main guys off doing...

Re: Death Looping Kites...how to stop them?

I use an Ocean Rodeo harness. I have a quick release as above on my leash but the harness also has a release on the handle pass thingy at the back. The release is at the side of the harness.

I hope I never get into a situation where I have to use it in anger

Re: Wax or deck pad?

Thanks for the replies. I'm leaning towards a deck pad at the moment. Mainly because it will protect the board a bit but it seems like a whole load less faff. The board I've got while it's a cheapy it's in pretty good nick so a bit of effort trying to keep it that way makes sense. In addition I'll p...

Wax or deck pad?

Just picked up a cheapy surfboard to have a blast in some surf. Yes it's time to lose the straps and go forwards in one direction for a change. Just wondering what people prefer with wax or a deck pad?

Would a pad help to protect the top of the board a little?

Re: Fastest turning kites you have flown?

going back a bit.

Caution Answer!! tried a 12m and that was quick. Owned a 16m and that was pretty impressive for a kite that size.
