Re: Tomo Evo, light wind, FCS2 choices?

Make sure it's a IFT on the side/front fins. Tomo boards seem to perform better with the foiled fins in my experience. I've tested both flat and foiled fins and found a huge difference. I ride in similar conditions to you. I also like it better in a quad fin set-up for smaller mushy waves and chop. ...

Re: Which helmet?

One that hasn't been mentioned is the Zhik H-1. I noticed some moth sailors wearing it and it looked low profile so I checked it out when I started foiling. It is much lower profile than the snowboard/kayak style helmets, which I appreciate as I've got a big enough head already. Price point is abou...

Re: Using 2017 North Evo 11m and 8m with one bar?

Get the North Quad with the 22m lines. The bar adjusts from 42-49cm. It will be a bit less responsive on the 11m kite (vs. using a bar set at 53cm), but it will work just fine. If you want the ability to adjust your line lengths, get some aftermarket 3-4m line extensions since North doesn't offer th...

Re: Impact vest with pockets

Have more buoyancy than typical impact vests Some have posted vests that are rated at 50n (n=newtons). Impact vests are around 50n, so if you want more floatation, avoid 50n vests. Liquid Force's Profile kite vest has the most amount of buoyancy for a waist harness compatible vest. LF's Vortex Kite...

Re: Sand / water / aqua socks to wear inside boots

With regards to the shredtowns, I don't think their intended to be used for walking on the beach and may not last/invalidate warranty... Shredtowns were designed for multi-tower cable parks where once you fall you have to swim to shore and walk back to the starting point over dirt/gravel/rock/aspha...

Re: Mystic Majestic X Vs Ride Engine Carbon Elite, which is best?

If you haven't seen this, there's a decent write up on this thread towards the bottom... http://www.kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2396509 I like the Mystic better. Mainly because of the fit, but I also like the updated Clickerbar and the asymmetrical roped s-bar (wave) is nice for getting the CL...

Re: ION Vertex Select Sky size question

A good tip that I learned is the get the harness wet before you put it on. It can also make tightening down the straps easier.

Re: ION Vertex Select Sky size question

Hello All, I am 31 waist size and wondering do you recommend to take the ION Vertex Select sky in small 28 31 or medium 30 33 since they both cover my waist size. Thanks a lot I'm also a 31" waist and my belly is about the same. and I have the Vertex in size Small. Harnesses will stretch out a bit ...

Re: Sand / water / aqua socks to wear inside boots

None of those shoes will work. Any kind of five finger toe shoes or neoprene booties that might fit into straps are far too thick and won't fit in boots. The shoes I posted are for the alternative option of packing them, not for wearing with the boots. To the original poster - Truly the sock option...
