Re: Fone IC6

So for a beginner, moses onda 633 or fone ic6 850? :) pros and cons I would say yes. I did not learn on either one so I can only speculate but have seen several beginners struggle with the 633. While it is for sure a great wing, there is a lot of lift and not much yaw stability which is great for m...

Re: Fone IC6

My take after 6 months riding it is that IC6 is a great foil in light and medium winds, stable, good lift, decent top speed and so far, durable. I think the issue is that F-one does not really do much marketing on their foil line, otherwise more would be using the IC6. Moses is a great product and n...

Re: Duotone Spirit Foil Range 2019

Does anyone know if Duotone is out of the foil market? Their web site shows none of the previously announced foils, only has one link to an interview with a rider, zero information.

Could this be something to do with the North/ Duotone situation?

Re: Gin Marabou

Couple of foil guys at my beach have the Marabou 12 and the 6. Both are medium weight and use smallish wings around 600 cms area. The 12 sq m Marabou seems to work great from 6-7 up to 10-12 knots. The 6 from 12 up to 18. The relaunch in almost all cases looks very easy, nothing like a Peak or other...

How important is the weight of your bar and lines for light wind foiling?

Any insights from the technically minded into the importance of the weight of the bar (and lines) on performance of a kite specially in light wind (below 10 knots)? I see racers using very simple light weight carbon bars so I assume it makes a difference. But how much? If a light wind tube kite shav...

Neil Pryde Glide vs Cabrinha Varial / Carve

I've seen recent reviews of these two foil ranges from MACkiteboarding. Similar in area and aspect ratio, both made by the same or related companies, similar in price. Has anybody had a chance to ride both and is able to comment on any differences or advantages of either one? This is the Cabrinha: h...

Re: Kanaha Shapes review and other intermediate musings

No one has mentioned the Zeeko pocketboard that has standard tracks and decent looking rocker, length about 110 cms. Anyone tried it with a big wing?

Re: High Lift Wings like Moses 633 Onda: who is it for?

The other thing to note is that the 633 and big wings that came from Surf and SUP line are a problem for the geometry of the fixed mast on the standard Moses boards. They require a big shift in center of gravity forward...beyond a standard footstrap location. If you are going to use them a lot then...

Re: High Lift Wings like Moses 633 Onda: who is it for?

I have read a lot on this forum about the 633 wing and how you can ride in super low wind. No one has a 633 at my beach so I can not try it. I have only tried the 683 once, which compared to my 590 does have a lot more lift, so to compensate I had to ride with my back foot a few inches further forw...
