Re: 2018 North Rebel vs Ozone Edge V9

Have tested them back to back. Both very nice kites, the rebel is a great boosting kite with plenty of hangtime. It is still forgiving and predictable which gives confidence for tricks. Also is a bit more allround. Edge has a more extreme boost and massive hangtime but flies a bit more technical. I ...

Re: Ozone vs Core

I have to say how disappointed I am to many of the responses to my initial query. I thought I was asking a fairly simple question about three kites. As I mentioned I like the idea of Ozone because they have control of their own manufacturing facility. I picked two models, the Catalyst and the Endur...

You can easily check this yourself. Moving to single frontline safety opens more design freedom like short bridles and/or leaving ou...

Re: Pulleys on kites

To understand how pulleyless system give you less bar pressure do this exercise. Look at the five line kite from the side. Front lines are behind fifth line, right, so they hold certain amount of load even before you touch the back lines. Look at the side of the pulleyless bridle. Do you see how th...

Re: Pulleys on kites

I currently have both Ozone (no pulleys) and OR (pulleys) in my quiver. Over the years I have flown tons of kites with pulleys. In my experience there is no difference in direct feel. Also never in 10+ years did i experience pulley failure on my bridled kites. Most crap spongy kites I have come accr...
