Re: German online shops, info plz !

Got my new Torch sat here now. Ordered a wetsuit from www.you-love-it.com last night and shipped this afternoon. I appreciate they have been very slow in the past, but I am happy to buy from them again.

New lines - Dyneema Sk99

Reading a few things online where people say the new Dyneema Sk99 lines makes the kite much more responsive versus the older and much weaker Sk75 Dyneema lines. Has anyone noticed this or made some lines of Dyneema SK99 recently ? (ideally 1.6mm) Just found a great new Drneema for those interested -...

Re: Sewing line loops...

I disagree, sleeving is essential for kitesuring lines. Where the knot connects to the kite you get salt and sand in the knot and movement. My lines have just been changed and the sleeving had worn through to the while dyneema, without that sleeving the lines would have snapped long ago. The reason ...

Re: Sewing line loops...

Hand sew it with a strong nylon thread. Takes a few minutes and you will get much better tension on the thread, just not as neat.

kitesurfing lines shrink!!

Well I never knew that!.. Dyneema kite lines get shorter over time. Just bought some new 24m dyneema lines for my used 2014 Naish Torch bar, and some new naish 13m front flying lines. I offered up the 24m lines (not Naish) and they were around 18cm longer.... I put it down to a error in measuring wh...

Naish torch bars...2018

Has anyone flown older Torch's (2014/2015/2016) on the new low "Y" 2018 bar ? How did the kite perform and did it need lots of adjusting? Thinking of buying a 2018 bar with the spinning 5h line swivel and low "Y".

Switch kite EU import tax ?

Anyone in the UK bought a Switch kite and had to pay import tax ? Their prices look very good but being New Zealand based would you pay standard rate import tax into EU ?
thanks

Making some new lines..

I am considering making some new lines for my Nasih Torch as they are 13m front and 24m rear. I found some excellent Sk99 Dyneema which is 1.6mm and 430kg breaking strain, which looks much better than standard Naish lines. I am going to buy a sleeving kit for looping the ends. My main issue is I don...
