Re: Hindenburg

Ejecting the kite would suck when I'm near shore, since the kite might come down on shore (where people may be unaware of what's happening Hmm gusty shifty winds that are straight onshore with other people around sounds more like maybe not the best time to go out if it were me. How shallow is it? c...

Re: Hindenburg

I found that if i hit the release when it begins the fall it sorts itself out 60% of the time. Otherwise if you know what to do a barflip is possible and has saved me from going back to shore. When it goes out on the front line you can pull on the leash really fast and initiate the safety faster as ...

Re: Okay who of us is kiting in Florida right now?

He looks underpowered on the tt. Shoulda been foiling that epic swell on a shitty foil trainer kite :thumb:
Love the comments about bodi going out for the surf of death (point break that is if your a millenial) and all the windsurf comments almost as laughable as the brain dead reporters

Re: Has anyone gone totally hydrofoil?

Since I've started foiling this season I would say yes I'm solely on the HF! Haven't rode a TT in over a year and the surfboard hasn't found a day on the water yet so far. I'm not at the point of dumping the other boards, but certainly they are not getting used. :thumb: The range and confidence of t...

Re: 17m vs 14m LEI?

I ride a 14m as my largest light wind kite. Anything over that is a no go. I hate blowing them up as you've found relaunch is a bitch in sub winds and the pull is usually to much for foiling. Even on the 14 the second i'm on foil bar out trim all the way. We get very shitty winds here in the summer ...

Re: How to be affective in Very deep powder.

Thats Awesome Anthonyshopguy. Glad it worked great. I was just in similar conditions this last weekend in Idaho. My quads are still burning. Only gets easier til the next season then it starts over again. The funniest part for me is when I don't know any better about low elevation conditions its blo...

Re: How to be affective in Very deep powder.

A board with a good tune and right wax makes a world of difference. This is spot on great information. Often overlooked and really makes a big difference. I hot wax almost every session and try to match temp to wax. I can burn off wax in just a few hours and you will know immediately that its gone ...

Re: How to be affective in Very deep powder.

I think a few people have tried more surface area boards like a wake board, surf board but they tend to be short, with not enough rocker in the front or rear. Looked more like a i did it for a 100 yards but I wouldn't do it much longer then that kinda thing. I think the big thing with powder is a re...

Re: Inexpensive Snowkite Suggestions

EDT I agree 100% we don't know any of the conditions these guys fly in and a closed cell would certainly be a better choice. Where I live we are mostly high mountain fliers with pretty dirty air alot of the time. Really depends on location some parts of Montana are really great winds! I only get blo...
