2016 Dakine C-1 Harness

Wondering if anyone has tried the new 2016 Dakine C-1 harness, with or without the maniac spreader bar? I was interested in the Ride Engine harness but a few friends have bought it and we're not happy with it.

Re: Herniated disc

Dakine just released their new C-1 harness with stiff back plates. It looks pretty good and was thinking it would be better for people with back problems. Here is the link. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ipnRNPhmlFo

Re: Herniated disc

Yes I have to agree, most of the comments have been great! I have to say I was pretty depressed and not vey optimistic on kiting or doing anything fun any time soon. I am focused and determined to return to 100%. Over the last two weeks I have made great progress and my attitude has become more posi...

Re: Herniated disc

Lots of great info guys, much appreciated. After suffering from my last episode I have become determined to never experience that level of pain again. Definitely will listen to my body! It is also great to hear that many of you with similar issues have made a full recovery and are episode free. One ...

Herniated disc

I was wondering if anyone out there has had or are dealing with a lumbar disc herniation? I have been working through this injury with physiotherapy as well as chiropractic care making some progress but not as much as I would like. I have a kiting trip which was booked long before the injury coming ...

Re: Contra Line Tuning

2014 and 2015 line sets need to be stretched out. This is a known issue. Just tie off to something solid and give your outside lines about 10 good pulls. You will see a stretch of about 4". The kite shop I bought my contra from did this for me when I bought the new bar. If you look online you will s...

Re: 2Elements in Vieux-Fort St-Lucia: looks like it's closed

Would you say that kiting at The Reef's beach is easier for a beginner than kiting at CBR's beach? No, The Reef has a much narrower beach and a small shore break that can cause beginers problems. You are much better off at the CBR school as it is protected by a reef and therefore has nice flat wate...

Re: 2Elements in Vieux-Fort St-Lucia: looks like it's closed

This is true 2 elements is no longer operating out of Coconut Bay. However the hotel has taken over the day to day operations of the kite school and re-opened on Dec 01. There is a $15 a day fee to kite out of this location which includes boat rescue and equipment storage along with use of the restr...
