Re: Bad Landing --> Slams Rider

First I'm sorry you were hurt and I hope you make a full recovery. Beyond that, you give safety a bad name. Go ahead and collect your injury stats, but quit trying to give others advice. If you accidentally hit on something that might enhance safety, it is likely to be discounted due to your Certifi...

On the pulley issue. I think this could be an industry wide problem as demand for these little kite blocks increase Quality control suffered. The common pulleys are Riely and Ronstan and the model used from each is unique to kiting. The sheave (small wheel) is an injection molded part and as part of...

Let me get this straight you got the super bro deal on a quiver of great kites, you noticed premature bridal wear and contacted the manufacturer and the dealer. The dealer sent you new bridal material and instructions for replacement. If I follow it took six days for the dealer to take care of your ...

Re: Bad conditions

When are we going to wake up and start discussing this honestly and openly? I'll tell you what Tom, why don't you plan a trip down here to Florida and then we can have an honest and open discussion about why you got your ass kicked up and down the beach for besmirching the memory of some one who wa...

I'd sure like to try a 14M Nemi, but my local dealer couldn't say for sure when I could have gotten one, and still can't. Our season has already started In the St. Pete area. I got an Era 14 and absolutely love the kite. It has the best low end of any kite at our local launches, and the top end is i...

Dr,
Could you comment on how well the 12M goes upwind, and handles gusts? I'm around 65kilos and I live in a light wind spot mostly 11 to 18kts. It is important to me for my kite to haul upwind to regain ground lost from massive jumps and to not get blown off the water when the wind picks up.

The Royal ERA is obviously a refined development of the most excellent RRD Hyper. I'm wondering just where you saw one, I've been on the waiting list and dying to get my hands on one for months. The thruster was a decent design and got the line out there I'm sure this years will be more up to snuff....

I'm suffering through the windless season in Tampa right now, so I may be less greatful than I should be given I rode 120 to 150 times last season, most of the time with no wet suit. Our average session is probably under 18kts, but during the winter we get our share of 20+. The crowds are just start...

B, I just took a SW flight to NC. I took a big bag of tools, a bag of cloths and charts, and my kite gear in a Samsonite golf bag I got at the outlet mall. The golf bag is clearly over the size limit and all my bags were close to the 50 lb mark and got a special candy striped HEAVY tag. I took it al...
