Kohsamui rent a motorcycle it's cheap and I don't think you need a license. Then you can move around.

Re: Could someone please invent a better way to self land a kite in high wind.

With 5th line kite (always works with my Rebels, I use this over 35kn wind, I assume works for other kinds of kites too) 1. Lower kite to the ground with tip touching the sand 2. Unhook and hold the chicken loop in your hands 3. While unhooked take a 3 or 4 steps upwind; the kite rotates on its wing...

Hello I've done some googling and seems like the distance is about 14m for a 5th line kite (Rebel) does anyone have the exact measurement from kite pigtail to the 5th line split metal ring? Thanks!

Re: Flatwater near Taipei

Baishawan can be very choppy in winter. Sometimes huge cleanout sets. That's not all the time but not uncommon. The Spot in Zhunan is the easiest / most mellow spot I know in north Taiwan in winter. Penghu has some flat water even in winter with strong wind (contact the Sunrise Bed & Breakfast there...

Re: More Advanced Kites

Hi scooper, Rebels are an advanced freeride kite and MORE difficult to fly well than most other kites in the market - up to 2017 (I tried 2018 and it seemed sooo easy and forgiving). Just figure out what kind of riding in what kind of conditions on what kind of board you want to ride on, then head t...

Re: Concave, flat or convex bottoms

OR Mako is just unbelievable for waves and chop, so much fun. You must try one if you have chance. I ride Shinn now which also have a big concave. Firewire Modern Planing Hull = concave... 'nuff said. Magical boards. ps double concave is not convex!! Flat is for best possible pop I suppose? Not much...

Re: Kite designers, don't do this s**t please

You may try this: - Wash with dishwashing soap and dry - Apply shoe goo wherever the EVA foam is damaged - Wrap tightly in cling foil and let dry. The cling foil pressure will distribute the glue evenly - Unwrap and go kiting (if some foil sticks to glue, it will wear out in a couple of sessions, so...
