Cabrinha Switchblade 2013 and 1x bar compatibilty

Hi All, Did someone tried a 2013 switchblade with the new 1x bar. I had a look on the web and below is what cabrinha is stating: " The new Overdrive 1X bar will be backwards compatible with all Cabrinha IDS equipped kites. You just won't be able to use older IDS (2009-2013) control bars on any 2014 ...

Re: Cabrinha Switchblade 2013 vs Chaos

BB3, thanks for the good info. I think the SB will be better for me as I need the wind range and low end grunt given that I kite on gusty lake conditions. The wind tip shape on the new SB is looking rather different, is that making them fly differently. jteabird, I have adjusted my lines and are all...

Cabrinha Switchblade 2013 vs Chaos

Here is the deal.... I am going to get some new gear and I am between the Switchblade 2013 and the Chaos. I have atm the 2008 SB and I like them (very stable, park and ride, slow steering), however unhooking is a challenge as they pull like a train. Are the new 2013 SB any better? If someone has tri...

Many thanks all.

Re: Cabrihna Switchblade 3 quiver question

Many thanks for the help and the suggestions. Well I think I will go for the 8 and 12. With my 130x42 main board and my light wind board (135x48) I hope that I will be able to kite from around 13 till around 33 knots.

Re: Cabrihna Switchblade 3 quiver question

I can say for myself: Im really happy to have an Xbow3 7m in addition to my SB3 10. The 10 has loads of power, its a handfull when the wind picks up, say above 24-26 knots. I think 8 and 12 give biggest range, but it means a bit of compromising. It would be easier for ppl to make a quiver if Cabrin...

Re: Cabrihna Switchblade 3 quiver question

I have an SB2 8 and an SB3 12. The SB2 8 is probably overkill. It has a fairly good bottom end and virtually unlimited top end. The SB3 generally has a better bottom end than the SB2 so an SB3 8 might be better than the SB2. There is not a lot of overlap between the SB2 8 and the SB3 12 so it is po...
