Re: Underground 2009 FLX video

Andy, I am guessing you ran into Pete. I have been a loyal Underground rider at Sandy Hook, NJ since 2005 and have tried every size from 128x38 up. The 135x41 is a great all around board if you are average weight and riding primarily on the bay side as an intermediate or advanced rider. If you are r...

Re: which kite is better?

What is your current skill level and what size do you need for your local conditions. Both kites are great kites so it depends more on your skill level and what you are trying to accomplish riding this year. I have not flown the REV but have heard nothing but great things about it from respectable, ...

Re: Rhino 08 4 line mode experiences?

Dwight,
Did you have to make any adjustments to the line lengths on the leaders to tune the kite properly?

Re: The best gust eating bow/sle or c

Voodoospirit nailed the right answer! The Peter Lynn kites are the best gust absorbing kites out there. Since it is a 4-line foil, the profile of the kite can easily flex with the gusts thus acting like a huge shock absorber. I fly mostly LEI's and only like flying Peter Lynn kites 13m or smaller wh...

Re: F.one demon 2 vs SS lunacy vs f.one new 08 boards

As I understand it, the demon 2 has been replaced by the TX in 2008. I believe the Acid is just a more squared version of the TX for extra pop. The reverse tucked edge is really nice. The demon 2 I tried sat right between Underground FLX's loose/skate feel and the Nobile firm/sticky. I thought it ha...

Re: Why do the legs on my wetsuit always fill up with water

The problem may also be your XCel wetsuit doesn't have taped/sealed seams. Therefore the water spray from your board is pounding on the seam on the inside of your calf, and the water is leaking through it given the force of the water. It happens all the time on my XCel suit if I get excessive board ...

Re: Board for light winds - Spleene Door vs. directional

150cm (5ft) is the max length for airlines I am a Litewave dealer, so take it as you will, but I gave a few of my local hardcore, Spleene Door riders the new Litewave Wing to try last fall. They all liked it a lot as it was slightly easier to release from the water for jumps or transitions. The Skyw...

Re: wind gadget for windows sidebar?

There are two that I have found. I am traveling so I do not have the exact names. I think the one was either wind guru or wind finder which has a "windmill" icon with arrows. It does not work that well and does not always update. Then again I am using it in the US and that is not their focus area so...

Re: 2007 GK 15 Trix

Toyless, It sounds like you are riding in 9-11 knots. The 15 will drop if you just park it overhead & a lull hits or it over flies you when you stuff a jump. In low winds keep the 15m moving but off to the side (~45 degrees) so if a lull comes through it drops to the side & you maintain line tension...

Re: 08 Rebel... Negative

I don't agree with the '07 Rhino to '08 Rebel comparison. The '07 Rhino was more off/on with power where the '08 Rebel is a more progressive depower. Bar pressure is much lower on the '08 Rebel and more difficult to invert. The '08 Rebel is the perfect balance for the majority of the freeride market...
