Re: Officially announced: North becomes Duotone

I did like the name "North", but I come from sailing and windsurfing, so it had some name recognition. Duotone is not great but when you think of Naish, Cabrinha, and Burton (snowboarding I know) they are just the random names of the guys who founded the company. Each one of those guys is a legend....

And......at the end of day, it comes down to performance, quality, and value(not necessarily in that order). IMO, riders buy kites that fit their riding style, helps them accomplish their goals/tricks the easiest, and that are the most enjoyable to ride. And, to keep the rider, it comes down to goo...

Loyal North customer since 06. Duotone!!!! Seriously!!!! This is a case of bean counters not understanding the culture (or disregarding it) and convincing themselves this is a good idea. Doutone does not sound like it should be a kite company. It sounds more like...

I also doubt this name will resonate with a regular North kiter. When I think of North I think of big days and challenging conditions.

Re: North & Duotone - Your Questions Answered by CEO Till Eberle

Sorry I am not buying a kite with the duotone name on it. I read the interview and they somehow they talked themselves into it being a good name. It is bad marketing. The name is clunky and lame. Nobody knows how to pronounce it. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner. I have been a loyal North kiter since...

Re: North kiteboarding - bar

Other way round. Push button... depower as its letting out the rear lines. Use the crank to power back up by slowly cranking rear lines shorter. Plus the rear lines don't have near the load the fronts have. I would be wondering how many times you have to twist to get a given power setting. If it is...

Is the bottom P tex? You could use a P tex candle and repair similar to a snowboard.

Re: '06 7m vegas with '06 bar and lines

In 06 they were 27m. In 07 they went to 25m standard with the option of a 20m line set. You probably need new lines any how. Any north bar fom 06 on up will work with that kite.
