Re: DIY Trackmount into surfboard

Is this type of track system workable, is it a fiddle to get the foil on and off..... getting all those 4 bolts to line up each time not a big deal? Very easy. I use alan keys to tighten my bolts. First I push the nuts in the tracks to the ends of the tracks. One at the front and one at the rear in...

Re: Hydrofoil DIY from Argentina

nice work , any more feedback about how it handles? what would you do differently if you make another one? Not OP but I have built and ridden my own foil. If you can't foil (like me) then keep the front wing big and delta shaped. I foiled the top and flat bottom.... just to keep it simple. I vac ba...

New board - no straps

So I decided my first board, a 125cm twin tip converted to hydrofoil board, was too small and too hard to ride. I has no rocker so every time I nose down it burried and I fell off. This makes it really hard to learn. So the second board is also a twin tip, 150cm ish. I put 17cm of nose rocker in it ...

Re: dynamic differences with seat and waist harness

I prefer seat. I don't unhook.

I hate how with a waist harness the pull of the kite goes through your lower back into your legs then to the board. Switching to a seat harness gave my back a rest.

Re: I'll have to change my name now North Kiteboarding is no more..

Aww I missed it, why the takedown? Wanted to see the Triotone Dice... :( Oh. Facebook search. Duh. I really hope they don't take the MS-Office font library typefaces to production... Agreed! What an ugly font. But I suspect that is the production model. They don’t have too much time to change it no...

Re: I'll have to change my name now North Kiteboarding is no more..

No magazine still talks about north’s rename. Secrecy B&M. S H A M E :nono: Meanwhile, the north advertising campaign continues... Remember that a company like B&M has yearly contracts with websites and magazines...this means they paid for the ad. And the ad is for the product, not the name... To b...

Acrylic spray paint question

I'm painting my board. I bought primer and some colours and a gloss sealer. So I've sprayed half my board with my primer - it's an ugly grey, but hey ho. The shop didn't have white. When I finished I noticed that the little sticker said "use a PRIMER with this paint" .... they guys in the shop have ...

Thoughts? Too late to the game? Looks more like an old rebel to my eyes, but might be a fun delta / high jumping kite.
