Re: Kite Seat Harnesses

Always had a seat harness, I think it's my body shape and bad back, currently loving the Dakine Fusion since it has the hard back. Older seat harnesses wore out after one season but this hard back seams to last. I know I look like I am kiting with a black diaper but hey, I am old so best to get use...

Re: Kite Seat Harnesses

Well I find the Mystic Marshall comfortable, light, doesn't absorb much water, pretty easy to get on and I use their a Stealth rope slider. It has a firm back panel. The rope even when tight seems higher than other seat harnesses I have used. No pressure on my old back. Is holding up well.

Totally agree with Stellablue. Turks can be hit or miss any time of year. If I was going on a kite trip with my kite buddies, I would probably look elsewhere for more diverse conditions and consistent wind.

Sebonkites and Lizards. I have been going to Turks since 2007 with my non kiting wife. We are actually flying down this saturday staying till 12/9. I weigh 185 lbs and would consider myself an advanced but now older kiter. I bring 10 and 12 m lithium kites with a 139 Jamie TT. Normally ride a surfbo...

Not a mention of Excel. I like their 4/3 Drylock X front zip. It does take some effort to get on and take off though. Quite warm.

Re: Durable seatharness for big air

I've been using Mystic Marshall for about 40 sessions with a rope slider, have replaced the rope once but otherwise virtually no sign of wear. Have used a few Dakine seats but find the the Marshall more comfortable, maybe higher spreader, easier to put on, lighter and doesn't soak up much water.

Re: Outer banks in December?

Floridian... you may even want a 5 MM. I'm from New England and I would want that for chillier days with north winds.
