Re: Corpus Cristi lKiters beware!

You see this time and time again on classified Kite ads, if the seller had spent a few minutes just checking the year then this world of mud slinging wouldn't have happened. It is the sellers responsibility to get the description correct.

Re: KOTA isn't KOTA anymore

What would make it KOTA again.. Just judging on jump height? That would be pretty boring..

Re: Going back to C-Kites. SLEs are inferior for freestyle

2008 is calling.. It wants its forum thread back... I actually meant the discussion about C kites being better than bow Kites. I thou...

Re: pay to kite a spot in uk

I am utterly confused about what you can and cant do at Hayling now. I always thought after much discussion you cant launch at West Beach without paying but you can launch at the public beach and kite to the flat spots. Now it seems that you can't and you will chased off. I haven't kited Hayling for...

Re: pay to kite a spot in uk

So what is the deal with Hayling Island now? I thought after much hoo har the council allowed kiting from a public beach allowing everyone access to the low tide lagoons. Now there are people saying the golf club own to the low water mark and you cant kite there without CBK membership.. The truth is...

Re: pay to kite a spot in uk

We have a local beach which is one of the most used by kiters in NI. It has a long history of failing to meet quality standards and some kiters avoided it because of the sewage that got pumped into it fairly often. £3,000,000 was spent on installing a buffer tank to hold extra water when it rained,...

Re: pay to kite a spot in uk

This issue is getting hugely blown out of proportion.. As previously stated, there are 3/4 spots that charge to kite & this due to some anomaly within the law or it being within harbor limits. Every where else within our thousands of miles of coast line is free to kite. There are so many epic spots ...

Re: pay to kite a spot in uk

Because the weather and water are so cold, there is not an important culture of using the sea for recreation like in warmer places. So you tend to get raw sewage pumped into the sea and a short season in the summer where water quality is even an issue. Due to pressure from Europe, the sea water ins...
