Re: Aerodynamically better leading edge

I can't tell you how important that statement by edt is !!!! :thumb: The sum total of ALL mans knowledge is doubling at a rate of every (1) year ; what we knew about kites 10 years ago , we got like ((10 X 2) times 10)) More knowledge, to draw from now. I really wish, some of you , would at least T...

There is only 500 on preorder... 109$ for now :o 109 euro. Plus 20 for charger, plus 10 for mount plus 15 for shipping. Still a lot cheaper than the woo 2,0 (250 I think). And the new waterproof mount. 109 option includes both "the 3rd generation of WOO is here. ... Includes a 3.0 Sensor, Charger, ...

Re: Foam cored wings (another way)

I'll try to find my older molds and make up a pert to show the Easter egg method. There are simple ways to make up the leading edge and I'll try to find the rest of the Mylar sets for a small wing and make up a set. That would be first prize, thanks Kevin. Maybe just a few hand sketches would help ...

Re: Foam cored wings (another way)

The tube you use is a garden type with a soft inlay. If you have a regular vakuum the tube will be squeezed together an your vakuum dies. I use 6mm hydraulic tubes on a ex fridge motor. Thanks for the suggestions Kosta. The hose I use is very thick and stiff - not the normal garden hose. It handles...

Re: Foam cored wings (another way)

If your guy will mill a wing core, how about getting him to mill the mold halves... I might do this to start experimenting with molds. Can't figure out how a mold process will not result in either heavy (solid core) and/or the same flush-out issue. Still trying to visualize the "easter egg" process...

Foam cored wings (another way)

First off, thanks to everyone posting their tips and processes on this forum. I’m learning a lot. Here’s one way to build foam cored wings that works for me. I’ve only built about 5 of these (2 backs and 3 fronts), so definitely no expert. This is what works for me with my limited skills. What I tri...

Re: How thick can I lay carbon fiber?

For gluing up there is a method of building a lip or ledge a few mm thick which slips inside the other half increasing the gluing surface for a stronger bond. I'll see if I can find a name for the process. It is very simple to do but difcukt to describe. Like the middle connection on a plastic East...
