Re: Got my hands on the Quark!

The Noir Matter linemount also have one side that slides, just like the UGo, so works really well and it seems sturdier than the UGo so I will use this for a while definetely, before trying Quark on the UGo - there is no risk using this mount as I see it. But maybe the UGo will hold up to more bash...

Re: Got my hands on the Quark!

The u.go mount works well for Noir. I think it is much stronger and one side slides so no fiddling to get the lines equal. For 360 cameras I have used a rylo recently and works well. It has a very good app for editing and requires no key frames for rotation control. It just does it. It is also good ...

Re: Got my hands on the Quark!

I'm pretty happy with my first results with quark. using a gopro7 with 2.7 k 60 fps so that takes care off the shake. I had it a bit tilted on power up so not perfectly level, but at least holds the initial orientation well:

Re: GoPro Fusion and Kitesurfing Videos, The Future of POV?

Shot some video with a RYLO 360 yesterday: https://youtu.be/frFgoXXkRqE It was a bit misty and low light. I like that you can film yourself or your buddy with the same mount. Just need a new string mount to get it so the mount is not in the way in the forward view Here is some from earlier in the su...

Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

ad this is my own gopro IMU backback from a few years ago wth active horizon tracking in post processing...very complicated and slow to process. not much hand editing though, and I think is better than the commercial offerings :D Nice ! Btw, did you know the gopro 5, gopro 5 Session and gopro 6 all...

Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

Shot some footage with the revl this weekend. Still definitely needs some work on the stabilization and leveling, but fairly watchable and not too complicated. This is with a bit of post stabilization with mercalli software Thanks for sharing that, looks like a fun day! The image quality is kind of...

Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

Here is a competitor, https://steadxp.com/ that has an IMU back pack fro a gopro 4. it is about a as good as revl out of the camera for level, but more stable, but has options to add keyframes to fix the level. It is a lot of work adding the keyframes. This one took about an hour of editing: https:/...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

do WLX wings feel noticeably draggier? The other day I tried a big wing foil just to see if it would improve my low end as the wind was not enough for me to get required speed for take off on my Spitfire. The foil did foil up at lower speed but was creating so much drag I could not ride anyway. Tha...
