Dimitri IS real. I don't own an Epic kite nor I'm a fan or promoter (never had the chance to test one here in Italy) but I think Dimitri is a very positive guy who works passionately for his business, I can't understand why he is criticized every time he shows his kites and boards. Every day I read...
Ah, tack! ok what has the Duck has to do with it?..
perhaps its nicer to do on a directional, skim or foil.. I think you slowdown to much, try with a little morespeed and a higher kite position, and a agressive dive in the new direction..
Here is what I always do (again):
Flat kite, put the briddle on the kite, wind up your lines so that You leave some lines out in the middle and put there your bar.
Fold kite, tip on tip, roll up. Fold in half or in 1/3’s
Voilà bar outside your kite, leave it outside the bag till its dry.
It performs really well Downunder. I have a 10m and my 13 year old son flies with it, deep water and low wind (on and off and max 12 kts), small inland lake.. i was waiting for strange behaviour of the foil in hands of a young and new to "big" foil kites kiter... yes it dropped and did strange thing...
