Re: Switch Lineup

Element 6 is a mistake and it messed up the whole line up. Basically it is a neutered Nitro, but it is not Element, but it retains it's name.... Basically you are saying the previous line up was wrong. Something was wrong with Nitro and Element5? Who told you that? I would prefer for the Element 5 t...

Not sure why you think the new H3 wouldn't work in onshore waves?
Wave kite designed for Hawaii is the most useless kite you can own, unless you live there or you foil.

Re: Switch Lineup

It would surprise me if there is no N7 coming. I won't be. There is something weird going on there. Bill either owns the rights to his designs or they are trying to erase his designs for whatever reason. But with no Nitro and no onshore wave kite, there nothing here for me. Just another kite compan...

Re: Kite Manufacturing - free feedback

Cabrinha doesn't have webbing on the closing seam? It does. It is very fine, light weight but it still shrinks. Every time I open Cabrinha LE I am missing 1-2 inches of the webbing when I put it back together that's how much it was shrunk and I can't stretch it back. The FX doesn't have and it is a...

Re: Switch Lineup

Ahhh yes. The old video assessment review. The GOLD standard for kite forums around the world. Carry on. Their description doesn't state where the kite flies in the window nor how it turns except "quick" but I've been pretty consistent spotting these things from the video. But if I am wrong a...

2015 kite destroyed by the unnecessary webbing!!! thumbnail_20180419_120257.jpg Dacron failed from creasing created by webbing shrinkage. I will fix it and remove all the webbing reinforcements. This kite would end up in a dumpster if it wasn't 2015 Catalyst. Except for line attachments and rescue ...

Re: Switch Lineup

I haven't tried Helium but from the videos it flies a little too much forward and it turns too pivotly for onshore so if I am not mistaken they can keep that sucker in Hawaii. :thumb:

My quiver: 7m 9m Element 5 10m 12m Nitro 6,5 With Element 5 gone and God knows what is going to happen to the Nitro, here are my 5 cents: Element 5 was the only onshore kite left on the market even though it wasn't advertised as such (onshore) just like 2015 Ozone Catalyst which was the best most ve...

Re: Kite Manufacturing - free feedback

Canopy has to be sewn to the leading edge using triple point not regular zigzag, come on people. So Switch is doing two adjacent passes of 2-point zig-zag for their canopy-to-LE seam, which is kind of like doing a triple-step / 4-point except leaving out the stitch in the middle. Seems obvio...

Re: Kite Manufacturing - free feedback

http://www.zeroprestige.org/sewakite.pdf Does it look ok or needs updating? Thx In 2b it shows triple point vs regular zigzag for topstitching folded seam but neither is needed you can topstitch folded strut seam with regular straight stitch. The regular zig is the worst choice in this particular c...
