Re: New World record = 59.23 knots

I have seen this video quoted before as being of the run where Seb hit 61.25 knots for 2 seconds in October 2009. Sorry, thats not true. He did NOT use his canal when he did 61 kn. As you can see here: Thanks for correcting that Tilmann. I had seen that video titled with 115 kph in the past, but th...

Re: ISAF compromise proposal

Mind you at end of the day there is only so much compromise kiteboarders will stand otherwise they simply will not bother turning up and get on with their own thing anyway. This is the big thing the people who actually do the racing want this, it enables them to find a way of scratching a living ou...

Re: 50 knots --- in only 25 knots of wind !!

We have just had Rob Douglas doing 41 knots in less than 25 knots of wind the other day at the NASSCI event on a slalom board so we are getting a lot more efficient than just a couple of years back.

Re: Naish Charge 2011 ? Board Venturi ?

I cant comment on the kite but I have had a few days on the board now and am getting the hang of it now and finding it a joy to ride both up and down wind. The smaller size of the fins make it very user friendly compared to some full on racers I have tried and couldn't ride. But when pushed im impre...

Re: Who is riding waves the best?Windsurfer,Kitesurfer,Surfe

I have never understud surfing and found it very boring to do but I love riding waves on both a windsurfer and kite but watching that video was worse than kite freestyle for repetition. They just keep repeating the same thing bottom turn/top turn ok the guy did a little olly 360 thing but after you ...

Re: Gold Fleet win for Dave Williams and Taboo 17m at Weymou

I was loaned 3 Taboo kites to do a Freestyle comp and then go down to Weymouth for the speed week and I kept a bit of a log each day as to what happened and my thoughts of the kites in return for the loan. Yes I was very impressed with how the kite performed and that's why I mentioned a lot and if B...

Re: Luderitz Speed Event - 2 Weeks to Go!

I will be following this from a distance and it would be good to be able to see a daily update/blog. Luderitz sounds nearly as good as my local speed spot  but I did't have to dig a big trench, it's 2.5km of natural shallow water that can be used in all wind directions. http://farm5.static.fl...

Re: Kiting and "slipping/clicking" rib syndrome

I broke some ribs 3 weeks ago and although it hurt a bit it was never to bad that i needed pain killers all the time. I use a Physio who practises the Bowen technique to align my body and release any muscles that might be tight and in the way. Its well worth looking into this and finding someone who...
