Re: 2018 quiver advice?

Wonder why nobody mention Dash? That 3 strut very fast and light versatile kite, loops amazingly well and on top it's close to Torch for unhooking as additional benefit... L. Much to my own chagrin, I share your sentiment. The Dash looks like a lovely kite, a great mix of the Pivot and the Torch. I...

Re: Harness Position

...Yes.

It is the right way to do it.

Harness is not a bra.

Re: 2018 quiver advice?

If you want a combination foil and looping kite, you probably need to take a long, hard look at three strut kites like the Pivot, Evo, or RPM/SST. Foiling loves the light weight kites, and all of the aforementioned 3 stutterers featured in the 2018 King of the Air competition (SST instead of RPM, bu...

Re: WOO consistency

I do not doubt your ability to judge distance, but it is a hard rule that one cannot judge one’s own jump height. This has been true before and after Woo/Xsenr/PIQ. A good test is to stand on top of a 12 foot ladder. While it feels like you are in orbit, it is only 12 feet, which is a very small jum...

Re: New Ozone lines

From Kiteboarding.com : Taking it to the next level, Ozone has upgraded the 500kg/300kg kitesurf lines to the latest and greatest SK99 Dyneema fiber. This new fiber is stronger and less sensitive to shrinkage and stretch. Combined with new industry-leading braiding technology this will not only keep...

Re: 30.4m Jump on WOO?

This guy posted a 24m jump from Taiba Lagoon on a day I was there to feel the wind conditions. Did not see him jump, but I am HIGHLY doubting that that was legitimate. Video of any of his recent sessions would be nice to see. If I were him, once I started jumping 20m regularly in Brazil I would have...

Epic story, 5 out of 5, would read again.

Glad to hear the kite made it!

Re: Torch vs Pivot KevVlog #215

Comments on the video bring up a good point: Why not split the difference with the Dash? Naish appears to be marketing the Dash as a hybrid between the Pivot and the Torch.

Depower Lines Wear, Strength, Replacement

Gentlemen, I have some Best Red bars, the ones that are essentially North bars on the chicken loop and QR, with Clamcleat trim blocks. See photos below. My center lines (depower lines) are beginning to show some wear, especially near the point where they enter the QR. I have some questions about how...

Re: Has anyone had a problem with 2017 Best Roca's tearing?

I have a 2017 10m Roca that is fine, and a 9m and 7m TS. All fine. Admittedly my 2016 12m TS gets the most use by far, but is fine too. I think Best went to Teijin cloth in 2017, the 2016 is something else. Teijin should be better though.

Are the tears in the virgin canopy material or along a seam?
