Re: Eleveight RS: My Review

Given that Lindsey left a glowing review for the Apollo, I doubt he is a brand pimp. Judging by his post history, he is an airstyle rider, so it makes sense that he generally praises kites that suit airstyle. I agree with other posts in this thread, guys who like to kite in a certain style will love...

Re: Suggest me a great kite destination for march.

Do not let its reputation scare you, Cape Town is the place to be! Yes there are sharks, but not many in Kite Beach / Tableview. Wind is good, air is warm, the water can be a little cool but comfortable with a wetsuit, and except for the airfare the expenses are low.

Re: Fastest turning wave/boost kite

Human brain is very unreliable at measuring anything. Unless you loop the two kites side by side like those guys at KiteFinder.com do, all those opinions that are about to fill in this thread are just that: speculation or shameless promotion not supported by any evidence whatsoever. I can suggest t...

Re: another back line trim bar

I like the idea of companies sharing gear, like what Ocean Rodeo and BWS obviously have done here. On the one hand it is a good endorsement of the original design, chances are the second company to come along had a choice of product, so they probably would've picked something good. On the other hand...

Re: Kite suggestion req - bang for the buck air

If you can find a Roca in the size you want it will probably serve your needs very well. I find the Roca a little more direct/aggressive than the Pivot but lighter than the TS. Otherwise, the Eleveight RS is its spiritual successor. The Naish Park is also good and should be pretty cheap if you can ...

What about the Core sensor bar on a best Roca 7 m 2017 KIte? Anyone tried it? I asume it will work ok even if the Y is higher on the Core bar...
It should work well. For the smaller kites the Y position does not matter as much, as the kite is not wide enough anyway to spread the front lines.

Is that the San Fransisco headquarters?
As a guys who owns and has owned a great deal of Best gear, and plan to move to Eleveight to support some of the people hit by the scandal, I find this comment utterly hilarious.

Re: Core Riot XR3 10 qm with Best Red Bar 52

Ze Germans usually have the best manuals. https://corekites-302e.kxcdn.com/_Resources/Persistent/21299159b8decc1240236a43ff5324ea0e49bc55/CORE_RIOT_XR3_Bridles.pdf If that is right, then yes, the Red bar (I own one) will hook up to the XR3. However, the XR3 used a medium V bar, the Red bar is a low ...

Re: Kite Crash 9

That first crash is pretty interesting. I hate rope wear as much as any guy, but this shows what can happen if you do not catch it in time. Wonder if there was any outward sign of distress visible?

Re: Heavyweight kitelooping gear

With the amount of gear Dracop handles, he has a great grasp of what is out there kite wise. I would listen to his advice. As for my own opinion, I would suggest a Best TS as an option for you, but probably a 10m. I have a 12m and a 9m and weigh 85kg. I can use the 12m starting at 15 knots, and by 2...
