Re: Anyone regret buying an Evo D/Lab?

First disclaimer, I have evos, evos sls, and neo dlab but did not buy the evo dlab. While I don’t think there is any doubt that the evo dlab is one of the top big air kites It may have lost a bit of the all around use, especially in the waves capability. The evo has always been a forward flying kit...

Re: Core XR pro 10 vs Edge 11 low end?

Yes I ask for boosting and looping for the main use. I also know that the Edge is not THE great low wind kite - that’s not the question but over the years I learned to make it work just great for that too and I don’t want to loose that one part. I am sure that the Xrpro 10 will boost great - that’s...

Re: Core XR pro 10 vs Edge 11 low end?

Thanks. Yeah, I am not looking at a specific low end kite for sure - I just dont want to loose the low end of the Edge11. And the XRp does not come in 11 but just 10 or 12. I own the XR pro and the dutone d/lab 10m and the missus owns the d/lab 12. Dlab 10 is nothing short of exceptional when it co...

Re: Core XR Pro Aluula

Supercharged by the Aluula airframe plus design adjustments, three big air key features had significant enhancements: Faster loops, earlier catching, and elevated high-end performance. To unlock maximum performance, compromises in comfort were accepted. at least they're honest about it  Actual...

Re: Core XR Pro Aluula

I got to try the 12m before the mean Core guy took it off my hands… apparently you are not allowed to keep the test kites… different than samplers they said…😂. Listen it says pro on it, my grandma could fly it if she was still alive. I am not a good jumper, I jump better with C kites, go figure. The...

Re: Low end on Evo D/lab

The “extra” power is only available because it moves faster, especially on the up movement when the kite fights gravity. So in light wind: instead of mostly generating power on the down stroke like dacron kites it will also generate close to the same power on the up stroke. However, if you “park th...

Re: Core XR PRO Aluula

The word on the street is that the Core XR Pro with alula is fragile and doesn't last long. Pro riders love it because they are free and the riders can trash the kites ... but for us lot who have to pay? .... you may want to hold onto your cash and see how long the yellow stuff lasts. I mean, obvio...

Re: Core XR PRO Aluula

Aluula or any lightweight leading edge material will not impress me until the build kites specifically for the material. I would rather have stiffer smaller frame to reduce drag than a lighter large frame to reduce weight over regular dacron which is very durable. The price to performance is not th...

Re: Core XR8 - The Ultimate High

Bigger changes like what? Duotone SLS? Core uses this material(or similar) in the struts and part of the LE on the XR8. This is similar to the HTF addition for Reedin, which is a big change! Aluula? From what i have heard Core XR8 PRO, aluula version, will be launched around August. (Can someone co...

Re: Duotone Evo SLS 2022 vs. Core XR7 in 8m for kitelooping

I´ve never flown the XR but I did loop Rebels which are comparable I believe. My favorite for looping is a 9m Evo SLS now, but I also have a 9m Rebel. I think XR/Rebels are more meant for "advanced" looping and gusty conditions when you already know what you are doing, when you´ve dialed in the tri...
