Re: Eye protection -> tips on cheap and good-ish sunglasses for kiting

Not the Wiley-X glasses/goggles? I had the same idea, and the same result -- horrific fogging. They were too small for my face in goggles mode too :(   These were the ones! :thumb: Glad to hear that I wasn't alone in that boat... Oddly enough, despite the fact that my...

Re: F-One handle insert distance

price looks cheaper than most handles; https://www.francekiteshop.com/en/kiteshop/boards-twin-tip-kitesurf/fone-boards/2018-kitesurf-accessories-f-one-handle_10400#descriptionlongue Maybe in France. At some point I was looking for replacements pulleys and what most shops in Europe (at the time) wer...

Re: F-One handle insert distance

If you're finding the fact that F-One is forcing you to only use their own parts ridiculous, I'd pay to see your face when you'll hear the prices... Up here in Canada there's only one F-One distributor who goes "above and beyond" when you're getting in touch for complete kites or kite qui...

Re: Eye protection -> tips on cheap and good-ish sunglasses for kiting

Design flaws...the temple end pivots over sharp screw threads and eventually eats it's way through The hole in the temple is too close to the outer edge of temple leaving not enough plastic material for strength Screw hole in the frame front should have been positioned more outward It's best to use...

Re: Protection against the sun

Please , Let me know , looks interesting . I'm back, haven't had a chance to use that head piece as much as I was planning to - simply put, winds were usually picking up after 2-3pm and by then I don't even bother with sunscreen. Still had a few short sessions and some wondering-about beach time. T...

Re: At last ... got to ride the Rebel (2018) and XR5 back to back

I don’t think anyone is pimping kites here... Ppl feel strongly about their chosen kites and talk about them... it’s what the forum is about. I wish someone would answer my question: why do you need a kite that doesn’t move? I mean Rebel & XR5. What’s the secret. Honest question!!! Another question...

Re: Question for Toby

Toby, while we're at it - why don't you make the "Location" field mandatory?

Too often people are asking geography-related questions while giving no clues regarding where they are located.

Re: Eye protection -> tips on cheap and good-ish sunglasses for kiting

Having been riding with SeaSpecs knock-offs and then real SeaSpecas - at some point I've got tired and decided to treat myself with a "decent" pair of shades. First I've got these: TDF.png Which proved to be quite nice, although the inner, removable frame tends to get loose with time and fall out ju...

Re: At last ... got to ride the Rebel (2018) and XR5 back to back

Interesting thread... Chicken-Core-pimpen, dude you're really overdoing it, ease up a bit. I had a chance to ride the XR5 11m during our last trip to South, was really impressed with Core's quality - their stuff is simply the reference for the whole industry. Though I'm still questioning how the fam...
