Re: Gear that has exceeded your expectations!

Move to a windless sh@t hole - it will really make you appreciate every single moment you'll be able to kite.

Re: The joys of valves leaking

It's funny how one starts to appreciate kites with less struts - once having done a few valve repairs... Or..... kites with no valves at all. Would be nice, but we have to get the best of what we've got. 3 struts are the absolute maximum I'm prepared to accept. 5 don't make any sense anymore...

Re: What does true mean for you?

Are “truly experienced kiteboarders” representative of the market as a whole? Nope. Do “truly experienced kiteboarders” know anything about marketing? Probably not, but being brainless monkeys with hairy balls they are pretty sure that North Dice sounds tons better than Duotone Dice... Just do that...

Re: What makes a jump drop fast?

Lack of lift I'm with stupid! :thumb: Thing is - most modern freeride-esque kites nowadays will boost pretty well in their lower-end range without any float to it, so it takes you up really nicely - but then you just fall like a rock. The fact that the industry has been pushing bigger boards lately...

Re: 2 Kitesurf company's with the same bar (crazy price)

Same basic mechanical parts, different bars - perhaps different line sets. Most likely - made by same supplier. We've actually picked up a couple of LF bars from a fairly known, big online seller in US. They were selling out the V1 with 2018 kites for dirt cheap, but have sent us V2-s for some reaso...

Actually - I wish 'em all luck in the world, but only because I care about their other divisions like ION.

In this case it means that somebody has screwed up the new brand's name and now are trying too hard.

Re: Second TwinTip

Actually 133 for an 80kg rider sounds perfectly reasonable - I'm 90kg and my go-to board is the Monk 135X42. It is rather power hungry and I think that Monk's sizing is a bit odd.. A 137X42 would have made more sense, but 137cm long Monk is 44 wide - which is simply too wide for my liking. I also ha...

Re: Bird chills out on kite.

These can chill all they want - as long as they don't duotone on the kite... :nono:
