Re: Islamorada spots

Thanks guys! I did Anne's Beach yesterday, was fantastic. My only beefs were the bridge south west of Anne's Beach and the large number of buoys with lines in the water. That bridge is an incredible hazard and the water current was going straight to it. It was not difficult to body drag back up nor...

Re: a good kite for light wind?

Sensor bar - I like some of its features but not enough to buy one. I like the small diameter of the bar and the depower strap is effortless but hate the release, the (yarn like) leader lines and the fact that the "Y" split is just like Cabrihna. Too far away. If you invert the lines and manage to ...

Re: a good kite for light wind?

Been on the Core 19, SS Turbine 17, Dyno 18, and Cloud 17. Kiting 15 years and ride Airush Varial X. It depends on what you want to do. Wakestyle - hands down is the turbine. Raceboard - kind of a tie between core, cloud and dyno. Big air - Dyno 18 Light wind on a Spleene Door - cloud is still ridi...

Re: Switch Kites

@ Rampage - I spent lots of time on E****** kites in the past. I just recently had the pleasure of trying Bill Hansen's new Switch designs ( Nitro and Method ), and I can tell you with 100% confidence that these kites are not "rebadged" E****** kites. I am pretty sure another company staring with t...

Re: Cost Breakdown of Kite Package - Online Only vs Shop

This is another funny thread. If there were no shops, kiteboarding would be banned in most places. Let's take Miami for example. If the shops were not there, all of the riding spots would be banned. If we left it to the riders, we would end up like Hobie Beach. CLOSED!! Shops care about the area the...

Re: T3 death loop after release

Have to agree that it could be so many things. SS Centerline Safety System is a top notch system. Not a lot that can go wrong. If the bar was @ 20 ft from you and the kite dropped nose first, the CSS worked. Something must have happened when it hit the ground. (line wrap, knot in line, etc...) Glad ...

Re: Renegade "Infinity" light wind machine

Nice reviews! I like it when people compare back to back with a more "famous" kite. But do keep in mind that the Proto is different to the Final version. It has more pull now. I do know the true size. Personally i dont care for the size that much since its the real range that is much more important...
