Re: Patagonia wetsuits

Thanks for the info but they are just over a year old and I no longer have the receipts. I had a Psychofreak that failed and also a summer Psycho that has gone the same way - both good suits but the seams were a shocka!

Re: Patagonia wetsuits

I may or may not be able to answer your question.... I have just purchased an R3 which is 4.5/3.5mm, I have not worn it yet though as it is too warm and we have no wind here in the UK! Previously always used Oneill but was getting hacked off with the seams always failing after a season or 2. At this...

Re: Mauritus and Reunion in August?

Been a few times in August - been on 7 & 9 mainly with a few 12 days thrown in. Can't say how consistent that is or if I just lucked out. There is a guy on here Nico who lives out there - great source of information, not sure if he still posts here though?

Re: Slingshot Vision Board?

134 x 41 of course :) I am looking at the Asylum but can't get my head round the graphic this year, if I did go for the Asylum I would go the 134 x 41 as I don't need the extra width for boots..... The Misfit is a bit flat for me - prefer a bit of rocker and small fins. That vision would be awesome ...

Re: Slingshot Vision Board?

Thanks Stu - did not even think to ask on the UK forum :) If you get hold of one I would not mind grabbing it off you at the beach to try! Lisaped - I do agree that the 138 is a bit big would love to see it as a 134.... The channels and the sculpting look amazing, I like the concept but 138 really! ...

Slingshot Vision Board?

Can anyone tell me anything about the Slingshot Vision board - aside from it will be available in 138 & 140?

Intended use freestyle, wake style, free ride, flat water, waves, straps & boots, straps only? Board looks stunning in the images/ video.

Thanks

Re: Support your local shop . . . ?

That would be about right, I work extensively in Japan and we typically have to charge about 40 - 60% more for a product sold in Japan to support the additional costs of working there. Cost of rents on business premises are hugely higher than elsewhere, salaries are higher in japan due to the increa...

Re: Shinn Monk vs. Wainman Joke

I have ridden both and I own the Joke! The Joke is just simply a really, really fantastic board - as already mentioned the only thing that may put some people off is that it is loose and skatey compared to most other boards. The lift from the joke is concave and convex bottom so it planes really wel...

Portugal - Peniche help!

Help!

I can not find any wind statistics for Peniche in August, can anyone tell me if it does actually get any wind at this time of year? A lot of the W coast of Europe does not get a lot (if anything) at this time of year. Though it is currently howling in Lisbon :)

Thanks
