Re: what size board do you use?

I've had a lot of boards over the years. Guessing at somewhere in the 12-15 range. Without a doubt I'm leaning more and more toward bigger is better, but there is a lot of difference between boards of the same size. Went through the process of getting custom boards made to spec and in the end it too...

Re: green kiting?

Sure we can push for green manufacturing, but we are a teeny tiny little industry. Its the auto and energy sectors that need be changed. Lots of issues. As pointed out, people are clueless as to what actually constitutes green, where dudes and dudettes in their fancy new hybrids will thumb their ego...

Re: You can't wake style on a foil kite....

For real!! That is definitely an RRD LEI dipping into the shot on both occasions! BUSTED! Thought I do think the riding is plenty wakestyle enough to looks pretty sweet. They get a few pretty stylish grabs in there generally some nice flow right through to landing. I also have nothing against foils.

Re: Turn speed vs bar pressure marketing

Rear line attachement points have always and will always do both. Physics dont change. And you might have it backward. Lighter bar pressure, as in furhter back attachement point, as in longer lever arm will always be both lighter at the bar and faster turning. You just gotta move the bar a teeny tin...

Re: recommend a surf board...

This one is way harder than giving kite advice. There are just literally a million options. Small mushy wind driven waves... think shorter, wider, flater. Kinda like the celeritas. I find a standard shortboard template too narrow and rockered to be as much fun in mush, but there is nothing better on...

Re: Surfboard riders...Whats your biggest Kite?

News flash. If your standing on a board (any board) and that board is on a wave face your riding the wave... thus its wave riding. Well, no not really. The difference is pretty simple and if you cant see it, well its not anyones problem but your own. Your approach kind of reminds me of what the vas...

Re: Please help me in choosing a new kite....

Really sorry to say it, but there is only one true answer to this thread, and its DEMO. Before you yell at me, I feel your pain. I too live in an area away from kite demos and have bought gear based on what was around, what others liked, what I could get a deal on, and sometimes on a hunch. Reviews ...

Re: Naish draft vid.... bullshit.

OMG the doubters in this thread need to get a life! Its a jump. a big one. not the biggest, not the longest. To talk smack about what the wind is or isnt like from a video clip is complete crap. Gusts happen... they happen a lot in maui! Jump real high, luck into a decent gust and there you go. That...
