Re: Inflate valve ball missing

I have an RPM with a valve ball missing and it doesn't leak. The ball is only there to help you seal off the valve without losing air.

Re: Hello all help with rigging wipika air blast

I think the idea was that the bridle let you reverse launch the kite. I remember watching a guy tryong to do it in small waves back in 2001 and it didn't work. I thought all of the AirBlasts delaminated, this kite must have been after they fixed that problem. There are better kites than this sitting...

Re: 2018 Airush Core Foil - Overview & Test (Video)

The 2017 Core Foil was actually a pretty good compromise between ease of use and performance. You could really change the riding characteristics by changing the rear trim angle. I preferred rear wing back, it got on the foil quicker but the top-end speed was lower. It was lighter than most other alu...

It sounds as if yet another international kite brand will be based in New Zealand.

Re: Pump my Kite, right!

North always recommended 6psi and it did seem to help the turning of those old loaded 5 line kites. I personally prefer around 8psi. Last weekend I went out in 35+ knots on a 6m and the kite was jellyfishing; I should have gone higher.

Re: Strappless or Strapped for Learning to Foil ??

I recommend foothook(s) in the front. It's sole purpose is to help you waterstart. You want to get well away from the foil when thing go pear shaped. Chances are footstraps will be initially in the wrong place for you anyway.

Unfortunately 90% of what marlboroughman posts is completely and utterly wrong. The greenhouse effect has been well understood for over 120 years and we know what the consequences of unabated greenhouse gas emissions will be.

Re: Kitefoiling at the 2024 Olympic games

I reckon it would be really cool to have men and women racing together. That's what happens on San Fran club nights and the women are right up there with the leaders. Probably won't happen though, the only Olympic sport that I can think of where it does is equestrian. For a laugh, I might rock up at...
