Re: Is anyone else buying carbon credits to offset CO2 from travel?

LOL. If you knew your history you would know that Eisenhower was concerned about the military–industrial complex where the defense industry had far too much vested interest in public policy. Public policy in your country is now made by ignorant morons who pay no attention to scientific knowledge or ...

Your opinions are inconsistent with the peer-reviewed scientific literature.

Re: Is anyone else buying carbon credits to offset CO2 from travel?

Well, actually there is. Once again, I suggest you read the IPCC 1.5ºC Special Report (SR15) that was released yesterday.

The science is well understood; research has been a priority once the implications became apparent in the 1980s.

Re: Is anyone else buying carbon credits to offset CO2 from travel?

Year 0 in your chart is 1969, so omits all of the warming that we have had since then. You should have a read of the IPCC 1.5ºC Special Report (SR15) that was released today: Human activities are estimated to have caused approximately 1.0°C of global warming above pre-industrial levels, with a likel...

Re: Is anyone else buying carbon credits to offset CO2 from travel?

You tell me, what the hell does it mean 2C limit over the preindustrial era while looking at the temp graph I just posted? You give this genius a Nobel prize? Your temperature graph was from a small number of locations in Scotland and of summer temperatures only. Globally , temperatures are rising....

I just saw one for sale second hand: https://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/kites-kitesurfing/kitesurfing/listing-1785517591.htm?rsqid=2156b0e85c364d74bc7cc691debc9b94 I used to fly an Arc back in about 2002. A kite with auto-zenith could be awesome for hydrofoiling in light winds when others are struggli...

Re: Switch Lineup

How is the legacy in waves? I used to use my Legacies quite a lot in waves until I bought a dedicated wave kite. The plus is that upwind is excellent and board speed is higher than a wave kite. However, they don't drift well; although the 8m is really strong wind is actually OK. You can loop the ki...

Re: Pauwlonia vs. Western Red Cedar (for a TwinTip core)

Western Red Cedar would be quite a bit stiffer and heavier. It might be OK if it was from a fast growing plantation and harvested at a young age.

Re: A loooooooooooong wave ride.

Don't you wish you could have gotten rid of the kite cos it was getting in the way? Probably not when the kite is only a 4m. There were quite a few times in that last south westerly when I wished I had something smaller than a 6m.I need to learn how to link heel side - toe side carves even if the s...
