Re: Why isn't North Sails in the Game?

As I understand it: North windsurfing (sails? if that's what you're thinking) and North kiteboarding are one and the same company (Boards & more) but they have Nothing to do with North Sails (the yachting guys). North Sails sold off the windsurfing side of the business years ago and the Sri Lanka fa...

Re: Advice on a split board, Nobile or FS

Hey Jason, you sure do get around Bro! Look, the FS is made in the Nobile factory. Nobile saw that FS were selling a ton of their "doors" and as a result brought out their Flying Carpet. I'm not sure who came up with the details on the split on the boards but it will have been engineered by the Nobi...

Re: The most stable kite out there?

I understand exactly what you say that you're looking for & I'd say that you could likely narrow down your choices to: Ben Wilson Noise Pro; Ozone Reo; & wildcard suggestion of Ocean Rodeo Prodigy. The earlier Cab drifters had a narrow sweet spot but maybe the 2014 has addressed that. I'd put the Be...

Re: BWS Noise Pro vs Noth Dice - anyone?

Thanks Westozzy,

Upwind ability?
Bar pressure?
How "bad" is the jumping on the Noise Pro & what conditions did you try it in?

Anyone else had the pleasure?

Re: Alternative to breaking surfboards

I have the same problem and dont believe there is a board that feels like a surfboard that will hold up to jumping. The closest I have come across are boards by Doyle in the Gorge. I don't own one but am considering it for my next board. I have heard nothing but good things about these boards and n...

Re: Alternative to breaking surfboards

Ozbungy, As you've found, patches of any description rarely work. The problem is that we are all after the magic combination of lightest weight, highest strength and great flex characteristics and they are all (almost) polar opposites, especially when you ad pricing into the mix. It sounds like the ...

Re: Alternative to breaking surfboards

I know we're hardly "local" for you, but I make a range of boards to address the exact problems that you are experiencing with some (most?) surf constructions. As always, there is a trade off in that the boards are a little heavier than the boards that break, but I've not yet encountered anyone who ...

Re: The Surf kite from Epic Kites

Oh Ja,
The proposed sizing sounds suspect?

If you're going to have a 5m & a 12m then I think you need to have TWO sizes inbetween. An 8m/12m sizing option would leave many people out of the loop.

5m/8m/10m/12m
or
5m/8m/9m/11m(or12m)
or
5m/8m/11m
