Re: What Helmet protects against foilboards during races?

You have to ask yourself, what are you protecting against? During a race you are not very likely to be hit by your own foil, but are more likely to have a high speed crash. The Gath Helmet is pretty good, but it has one major safety problem in regards to foiling races. They cover your ears, even if ...

Re: Go Foil powered by a kite for waveriding

I am waiting to use my Takuma surf foil with a kite. I suppose it might work very well. But I haven´t tried the foil yet unfortunately. I have not unhooked with a surfboard (or otherwise) for years but have been thinking that with such a huge foil it might actually be fun to ride it with a tiny kit...

Re: GO FOIL powered by a kite for waveriding

Yes. Basically using a SurfFoil like the GOFoil is great in waves. It's is basically like going from using twin tips to using Surfboards in waves. It's just so much easier and more intuitive.

Re: Ozone releases R1V3...does this crap ever end?!

Basically through testing it was discovered that the V2 was not slower than the V3 and still winning races against the new kites. The V3 has a bunch of new tech, which makes it a better kite, but by the time the kite would have been delivered (3 months time for some), other brands might have develop...

Re: New foil from Ozone

It is also much safer not to mix materials and thickness on the bridle when you do not have to. It is a much safer option to use the bridle materials all the way though and choose to use the strongest line needed for that job. I know what system I would choose to trust when boosting in strong diffic...

Re: New foil from Ozone

Hi Gunnar, nice Video, Kite looks good but the wind range in the official details looks suspect: https://ozone-uk.com/product/ozone-hyperlink-v1/ Is this based on TT or Foil? 12 from 8 knots? Is the lowend that good? Yes. I don't know what is going on there. I have had the 9m up in 25 knots with a ...

Re: New foil from Ozone

Hi Gunnar, thanks for the review. But still some question about technical details and the 5 m² 1. Have you heard something about release date and price for the 5 m²? 2. Has construction details improved compared to Chrono v2? Especially drainage which was here similar insuffizient as on the V1. Bri...

Re: Best bankrupt?

For those who read spanish this might cleat things up, at least about the guy who bought Best: http://www.elconfidencial.com/empresas/2017-04-06/anticorrupcion-imputa-dolset-desviar-dinero-zed-empresa-kitesurf_1361725/ Google translate works reasonably. It's a GoPro 5 Black which has GPS built in. It is sort of accurate. Here is the Polar from my Suunto Ambit.

How did you extract the Polar Diagram from your Suunto?

Thanks
A program called GPSactionReplay
