Re: New foil from Ozone

Ok. Unfortunately there are no Hyperlinks around (yet) and old FS kites are more or less out of tune and/or don't keep their pressure. That was one of the reasons I started to move to LEI's. It is of course totally unfair to compare new foil kite to old and used one. I have sometimes almost laughed...

Re: Opinion on lessons

I have 1 foot hook and the mast is positioned far back. I'm launching at rental house in Salvo north of Avon. 150$ Does seem steep. It appears to be the going rate at Real and Kitty Hawk kites. Getting the right instructor would be key. I will see what the next few sessions brings. I would like to ...

Re: Opinion on lessons

A little background. I am a fairly competent tt rider who just bought a foil. I tried it out for an hour today. I was able to water start fairly easily by the end of the session. Staying on the board not so good. I am in Hatteras and using a happy foil board and short mast and the original foil fis...

Re: Recommendations for a January Foiling vacation

That looks great Gunnar , but what are the temperatures like in January and is there any wind ? Hi, Temp in January is usually 20-25C during the day and 15-18C at night. Water temp is no colder than 18C on the coldest days. If you have a big kite in your range you can pretty much foil 90% of the ti...

Re: New foil from Ozone

Well, I don't get this kite (marketing). It looks just another mid AR foil kite, with mid AR foil kite properties. Not saying there is many such available. FS produced similar kites before they went all in to Speeds (and LEIs), it was many years ago... Even then FS had some technically advanced det...

Re: New foil from Ozone

Hi Guys, The HyperlinkV1 video we shot here on Fuerte is out now. https://vimeo.com/234472629 There will be a new How To video coming out for the Ozone Foil Kites soon. @pitbulldog: In regards to leaving the lines on. For sure this is the easiest way, but I also remove my bar from my Foil kites, as ...

Re: Bullet by Zeeko - the fastest alloy hydrofoil

13mm is pretty much the standard now on Alu Masts. Oh, for some reason I thought they were thicker. What is the thickness of a carbon race foil strut? Between 18 and 11mm. For example the new Z-Foil is 11.9mm at its thinnest section and 18mm at its thickest. Most well designed masts taper down to t...

Re: Bullet by Zeeko - the fastest alloy hydrofoil

I'm curious about the market for people who want a race ready aluminum foil vs either more expensive full carbon new foils or older used carbon race foils that would be cheaper than a new aluminum foil. Granted 35/38 kts is pretty fast! Yeah, that is a strange market to go after. Is it actually for...

Re: Recommendations for a January Foiling vacation

Hi guys I'm hoping you can help. We had booked for a holiday to Cuba in January but it looks like Hurricane Irma has devistated the island . It's truly Awful what has happened and I feel sorry for the people who live there. Unfortunately I can only get time off work in January and Febuary and so I'...

Re: Ozone Edge V9: Post Pictures & Information Here

I just was out on the 11m edge V9. It was 14-17 knots and the kite felt very vague. Probably because i was super under powered. Nevertheless. Tomorrows forecast is 32-42. Goody! Question, i was watching Gunnar set up his V9 and noticed that he connected to the last pigtail (See photo). What is the ...
