Drone for filming Kiting?

Thinking about going in on a DJI Mavic Pro. Yes I know there is a 50% chance it drops in the ocean and i never see it again.

Anyone have any real life experiences using this drone for filming kiting? Obviously i would use it for other stuff too, but that doesnt concern me as much.

Re: no thrill in deathloop, megaloop is the shit

Really really great write up. Could you please post the length of lines you are using? I think that is absolutely imperative (and frequently underarticulated) when it comes to looping. More-so than kite shape even. The difference between 24m and 20m lines is colossal.

Ride Engine+Slider Bar+ Boosting

I am just about to make the jump to the Ride Engine Harness, but wanted to see if anyone who has experience with it can speak to boosting with the slider bar. I certainly do a fair amount of wave riding, but still use the twin tip about 70% of the time. Mainly jump as big as possible, few loops here...

Re: Renting Gear in New Zealand

Awesome, thanks for the replies everyone. I think I will just leave the gear at home, wing it once I arrive on the island if I get some time to ride. Will definitely check out the shop in Auckland (I am 10yrs experienced and fully expect to put down the credit card if I rent gear, so no worries on t...

Renting Gear in New Zealand

I am traveling to New Zealand over the holidays, will be on the South Island for 9 days and in Tairua for 5. I am wondering about bringing my kite gear. Problem is, I will be sharing a camper with 5 non-kiters and dont want to impose on them with all my stuff, so was hoping there might be spots to r...

2nd Hand in New Zealand

Heading to NZ in January. Curious if there is a decent 2nd hand market for kiteboards there? Wondering whether I should pack my own or try to pick something up there. Any site/recommendations are welcome

Tulum/Playa del Carmen Wind Forecast

Curious, what do the people who know this area use and trust for wind forecasts? Different models seem to have different predictions, not sure what to prepare for...

Re: New drone, auto, waterproof and $499US

There are lots of things to like and not to like, but the waterproof component is a pretty novel one and should be very appealing for kiters. If you have any questions, i suggest you email and ask them. They got back to me within hours about wind speed "Lily was tested in winds up to 20 mph. However...
