Re: Cloud vs Reo.

How is the Reo as far as lift overhead as it passes through zenith?

I fly Neos coming from RRD religion as I found the Neos had that extra lift that has helped in transition maneuvers.

Re: Moses 2018

I found that 91 is optimal unless in shallow water- like Hatteras sound. There the 71 was spot on. The trade off is less upwind efficiency and less room for sitting maneuvering. There was a very direct feeling of me to the foil with the shorter mast making carving a true joy. I haven’t gone back to ...

Re: Sitting on foil. So fun!

When I get sitting, both feet are off to same side. But then I very quickly get one to each side, so straddling board. The upwind leg is bent at knee with foot on center of board. The leeward leg is mostly outstretched and is used to adjust pitch by bending or extending knee. Also my upper body is us...

Re: Sitting on foil. So fun!

Ok. So some think this is sooo easy, but I don’t see others doing it. And as a working guy that needs my health and blood to stay inside my body, it was a little daunting task to sit. Now I’m past that and having so much fun sitting and carving, gibing, etc. btw nykiter(?Brad). Waves by Hoaks restau...

Sitting on foil. So fun!

I’m a few sessions into sitting on foil and today was breakthrough. 18-26mph riding grooveskate pocket board on Onda 633 9m and then 7m Neo kites. It’s like an amusement park ride! Crazy fun and funny at same time! Waves on Lake Erie got to 6 feet and that was soooooo fun. It’s amazing the breakthro...

Foil on foil with Onda

I’ve been on my Onda for a month or so with small inflatables and loving it. Today wind was so light that I resorted to my chronic 13M V2. I had been reluctant to use this with 633 Onda as it seemed to be complete mismatch. A quick turning board with a slow ass turning kite (no foil kite comparisons...

Re: Hatteras to get another new bridge......this one sucks.

I was in Pappy ln, Rodanthe the first week of June. Construction has begun. The grading of landing for bridge is between Pappy ln and the small marina to the south. The sound was untouched as yet. The bridge will effectively wipe out reasonable use of all sound use from there northward. It is so sa...

Re: Strappless or Strapped for Learning to Foil ??

Safest=no straps. Quickest learning= straps or hooks. Also depends on foil weight and length. If heavy then timing of water start is much harder without straps. That was my personal situation: strapless with heavy sinking hoverglide. But I wanted safest pathway. If I had to do again, I would put a s...

Re: Weight of the Groove Skate

Fragile! Like a major Italian award! Congrats on the score! The performance and fun factor is huge. I have not weighed mine because I know what light feels like and this does not need to be any lighter. Seems to be spot on for size and weight and design. When a foil board makes you want to try any a...

Re: Dwarfcraft 3’6” vs Groove Skate

I do think that these pocket boards have so much to offer. That, combined with a significant market of intermediate foilers looking to upgrade are going to overwhelm suppliers.

Select and order soon. Just sayin
