With straps you need to shift your weight to compensate the push from the front wing, without straps you just move your feet :) I dont think so, only if you got a bad adjusted foil (like many beginnerfoils are as easier for the very first rides), or a very different personal liking. Do you have to be ON the wave for it to be considered a record..or can you claim it by say riding out way in front... Where is the line drawn..... Same for me. Unless you like going super snail slow, I feel low aspect wings are too draggy. Medium aspect wings can be almost as slow but with a much better glide and speed range.

Perhaps kite foiling in waves is not big enough yet and for every other style "traditional " shapes are better. It's a niche of a niche of a niche...

Also many big brands don't seem to have a real interest is hydrofoil other than cheap, simple, profit. Zeeko is one of the few passionate .
