Re: Gaastra pure vs switchblade

I'm 116Kg and rig my 12m S/B when it's blowing a fairly steady 17 to 22 knots (ignoring typical gusts) I'd use a C/F TT Elite 140 in this wind Hope this helps. Have you considered a 13m Ozone Edge? From your OP this sounds ideal. If no one has experience with both can anyone comment on the low end o...

Re: Switchblade 2014 vs 2016

I've had most years too. I agree, the 2016 is very slightly more refined, but not certainly not wildly different IMHO. I also agree the 2016 bar is fine, though there was some chatter about flagging line sticking and wearing through PU tube and other parts. I test my flagging line from time to time,...

Re: Kite Inflation Tips (Cabrinha Kitesurfing)

I agree, but maybe that’s why they put a range of pressures for each size? However I’ve used a couple of pumps in recent years across a number of different kites and the readings on both pumps generally read higher than those shown here for the pressures I prefer. I like pressures on the higher side...

Re: Kite Inflation Tips (Cabrinha Kitesurfing)

Thanks!

I'd assume these were for the current crop of Cabrinha kites, as they are on a Cabrinha pump and not other kite makes.

Re: 2018 Spleene High Tech Door - experience?

I've always had a big TT in my shed. I had a couple of the earlier doors which were ok, but the 2015 was not good in my opinion. Felt heavy and dull and 'glued' to the water. Seems a fair bit has changed since then, but their dogmatic customer service response to my issue, means they won't be my fir...

Re: Ozone Enduro V2 LE bladder replacement

The zips were a PITA - cheap crap, the end would part and you 'd need to sew the last cm to keep it from separating .
Good to hear they have gone velcro by the sound of it.

Re: Pocket Kites looking for ambassadors!

Oh that's how you carry keys, I've been doing it wrong all these years! Does the shape fit snugly in the pocket for us 'old timer's' who like to put everything in the pocket (usually a front one)? is it flexible? Heya Ok, if no one will tell anything, I will :) If the key chain can crack a beer open...
