Re: How to keep my board

Curl your toes up can help, or use some of those da kine heel straps, worked for me.
Then you just naturally get better at keeping the board on with time.

Re: Kiteworld vs Kiteboarding Magazine - Which is better?

I prefer kiteworld, get the UK version here in NZ though.
although i do like the big glossy ads, keep up with new kit that way.

loving the free online ones (ikitesurf and the kiteboarder) too

Re: New Zealand Late Dec>Jan Info

you should find wind somewhere, although i would stick with the 10m as january is the height of summer and generally the winds are lighter but there may get some good 15 knt seabreezes.
I go away to taranaki at that time and usually get out on my 10 SB3 with a twin tip at 85kg.
enjoy

Re: Another beginner question but hopefully a little different!

hey skifly, I take it you are in auckland NZ ? if so i would recommend the 10m switchblade, IDS if you can afford it but if not get the SB3 (it has just a touch more low end). I am 85kg and it is my main kite in Akl (SB3). you would be fine with a 12m but the 10 turns much better and can be used in ...
