Re: The Mako Completely Reborn

I was thinking last sunday about rail to rail concave, and how the duke worked, compared to an older mako. I gotta try one of these new mako's cause I loved how fast the duke is, how it carried speed through the carves and how it seemed foolproof in bumpy conditions. http://i1203.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: Kiting around Seattle in April

Check out PSKite, (Puget sound kite surfing association) online. There is a list of launch spots listed there, especially double bluff. Looks like Friday and Saturday have potential, good luck!

Re: Has anyone tried/ or owns a Naish Trip ?

on the flip side...
I've been thinking of using the 8m trip as a mid range kite to compliment my 12m park.
(200lb rider, freeride style, surf'n wind waves in nw storm sessions)
Has anyone used these kites in 20 to 30?
Seems like a great kite for off the wind bump and jump

Re: naish park 2014 tuning issues

I shortened the steering lines one knot under the floats on the stock Naish universal control bar and it made a huge difference

Re: Mako King setup advice

I use a surf fin on my left tip and the twin tip fin on the right.
This favors a goofy stance for waves or hard carves, and lets you hop switch stance without much stickiness. Foot straps centered on the deck for max low end too.
Nice ride!

Re: Next Gen Mako - Timeless Design

Ride a mako at flat out top speed with your weight centered and lay down a toe side as hard as you can...that's what makes this board! Amazing carve control!

Re: Carafino; Race wings, wind sprints, learning to ride

Dude. The anticipation is so sweet. Looking forward to that 1st ride 8) I have been paying close attention to other riders who are just picking up the technique. The weight forward is a tricky balance point, but critical to finding that slipstream angle of speed. Keeping track of the board after a c...

Re: 2014 Naish Orbit

I have had some excellent sessions on this board. Its a plush ride for such a big twin tip, the dual concave active flex just eats it up. The 5th fin seems to add straght line speed...perfect for the load and pop section of the tour. I grab the big O instead of the directional now, when the conditio...

2014 Naish Orbit

I have had a few sessions on the Orbit, 162 x 46 and I wanted to share my experience. 1st class construction and very easy to put together out of the box. The oversize big thread hardware and these new foot beds are really sweet. Lots of adjustments and tuning options for plush comfort while riding ...
