Re: Opinions wanted, is it better to self land in strong winds by punching out from 12 or 3/9??

Don’t touch QR or flagout line. Drop kite on water near the edge of wind window and pull it to yourself by one of front lines. Never warps line over anything you don’t want to cut off. Wear gloves to hold lines better. What do you mean “punch out”? ... 'punch out' is different way of saying 'releas...

Re: Increasing Turn Speed, V Distributor Location (Dice)

... hey CALencioni, Short answer, the MacKite guys are right! Higher V position can enhance the feel of tighter turning radius on some kites and I believe the Dice falls into that category,,,,,, but you can also loose a bit on the static power along with upwind. Too much higher and you can kill the ...

How do you rescue a runaway board/kite??

G'day guys and gals, I recently had to rescue a friends runaway kite and board while foiling. Having not thought about it before I found it tricky and had to learn on the job so to speak. I've rescued many while twin tipping or riding a surfboards but it was very tricky now seeing as I was riding a ...

Re: Why does Core xr 4 fly better on a core bar?

If the original posters wife notices it,,, give her props as she is a discerning kiter who can feel the differences,,,, well done I say. So true They have that 6th sense They know instantly and don't feel the need to figure out why I trust my wife who's been kitesurfing since 2002 If she says somet...

Re: Why does Core xr 4 fly better on a core bar?

You always have to think both ways; what impulse comes from the bar and what impulse comes from the kite. Bar development is rocket science, trust me, working 15 years + in the game....it is! Good bar feeling over a big wind range / kite range is rocket science, 100% !!! Endcap/ winder geometry is ...

Re: North Juice 2016 18m

Hi all, New to this forum and after some advice. Got a North Juice 2016 18m for light wind days and it came without a bar. Normally fly a Naish Pivot 4 line quiver and I wondered if the Juice is best to fly with a 4 or 5 line bar? Does it need to be a North Quad or Click bar and line and what lengt...

Re: Duotone freefoil 2018 vs Duotone spirit carve 2019

G'day Kitenight11, I've been lucky to have a go of the new Spirit Carve 950 with the 90cm mast mounted on a 4'10" Pace board recently. I was using the Speedster with the Freefoil board before and its the one I learnt on. I haven't done a back to back comparisons on the same day yet, but hopefully ve...

Opinions wanted on Duotone Spirit Carve foil

G'day,

has anyone had a ride on the Duotone's Spirit Carve hydrofoil yet, I'd like your opinions please.

If you can compare it to the Speedster that would be even better.

Thanks,

Robbie :) :thumb:
