Re: Strapless tack how avoid kipping?

Another important note for strapless tack is foil elevation. The higher you rise up from the water when turning upwind, the more response you get out of the board in roll axis since there is less lateral resistance from the mast.

Re: Game changer - Onewheel teaches how to turn on a foil

I prefer the hoosier 5.5 tire. Much carvier like my foil. I'm on my third board. It just keeps getting better, I really dont go anywhere without it now and dread walking by foot anywhere

Re: Are there foot hooks that don't %*-"@! break?

Cut a 2" x 6" strip from plastic cutting board. Heat it with paint stripping heat gun or stove element. Bend it into z pattern. Drill 2 holes. Voila, "unbreakable" foot hook for under a dollar. :-) I made one but never used it -- its strength is also a potential negative. For example if kite crashe...

Re: Ozone speed system adjustment

EDIT: So far I have changed the original speed system to the Pro-Tune, but kit was missing the z pigtails as well as the extra pigtails for the kite bar line connections as compared to the installation video. I can reuse the kite bar connection pigtails but still need the z pigtails. Compared to the...

Re: 2 or 3 straps

I prefer 3 (2+1) foot hooks. I put my front foot strapless towards the middle more when riding toeside, but my front 2 are not right up against each other like on some other narrower boards. For the back foot, besides the jumping advantage from hooks/ straps you actually gain a lot more control havi...

Re: making line extensions

This one is good for shortening standard braided lines without disconnecting the bar end. No sleeving or sewing required.

Re: Spotz 4 Shark

Nice review Tone. I felt the same way after upgrading from Spotz2 to Tuna. The fuselage/ mast/ wing junction was so much stiffer that it was immediately noticeable how much more stable it was and tacks and gybes were definitely easier. I look forward to trying the Shark, but I am really happy with t...

Re: Foot Hooks Rip Off MHL Deck

Definitely use two screws minimum to secure foot hook. Not always possible without modification depending on insert block location on board. Adjustable stabilizer or mast tracks usually help make this possible.

Re: Foot Hooker Footstraps - The next generation in footstrap technology

Hopefully one can fly strapless with stance just a little narrower than normal but be able to slide into both front and rear hooks for jumping and speed by making stance just a bit wider than normal. R H I use the foot hooks the same way I use straps. Strapless you can only apply pressure down agai...
