Re: 2017 Ride Engine vs Dakine C1

What is the difference between the RE Hex Core VS. Elite? They look the same. Is it just the material? If so, how much difference does all carbon vs some fiberglass make?

Can anyone compare the two?

Re: Honest review of BRM Cloud kites

How are they different? Gong build quality? What does the Gong do better than the Cloud? What does the Cloud do bette...

Re: Inflatable LEI Trainers

I have found the small BRM Cloud kites to be great trainers for my 9 and 11 year old daughters. Nearly full depower for safe experience and they double as fantastic high wind kites. My girls use the 4m and 5m regularly and I use them regularly here in the Gorge and Oregon Coast.

Re: strong and light surfboard

Find an old Aviso carbon fiber board. They are not made anymore but are bomber. Hollow so they absorb a lot of the stress of strapless landings. I had the same issues as you and have two Aviso boards now that I have had for several years. They are sick!! Hard to find though and can be expensive. ano...

Re: gear for micro weight

7 and 9 should be fine for her weight. 9 at the low end and 7 for the upper half is about right.

I have my daughter on a dakine chameleon and its working great. its a waist harness with leg straps to keep it from riding up.

good luck!!

Re: Kids and kitesurfing

I have been teaching my 11 year old daughter. She is only 35kg so needs small kites. I find the threshold for enough wind for a kite to fly correctly and her not being overwhelmed by the power is tough to find. As a result I am now flying the BRM Cloud 4m, 5m, and 8m. This kite will fly in low wind ...
