Re: Seat harness or back harness? whats the benefits

I'm just going to point out that you're all replying to a post from 2008. It's probably a little late to give any advice. That said, I'm perfectly happy with my seat harness on the water and I don't see myself switching to a waist harness anytime soon. Ha haa we all got tricked, except you :thumb: ...

...How did your Rotator Cuff work out....I was following your thread from last year.....I'm 5 weeks and starting PT Monday
Great, thanks for asking. It really does take a full year to feel normal in terms of strength and mobility. Sent you a PM with more info.

Re: Slingshot 2018 Release line-up!?

That video is pretty funny. I remember when people used to complain about one pump. Funniest thing... people would argue against the convenience of single point inflation/deflation because they wanted to set their struts to different pressures than the LE. These days, not only is one pump not ...

Re: Seat harness or back harness? whats the benefits

Give a waist harness a try. I have lower back pain, but it doesn't bother me with a quality supportive waist harness. These days I like the snug, slim, Ride Engine harnesses. You can find the 2016 on sale now as they are pushing the current models (I don't think they've changed noticeably). ($186 w/...

Re: Slingshot 2018 Release line-up!?

Nice, I had a feeling when I saw the first prototype it was an Elf design. I don't know foils, but it's nice to hear that's a good thing. People get skeptical when LEI companies make foil kites, and vice versa. Their B kites have always been solid learning kites, but their last production foil snow...

Slingshot 2018 Release line-up!?

I haven't seen a post here, but there appears to be an imminent summer release to much of the Slingshot line-up that is already being discussed online. New boards, kites, bar add-ons and other fun stuff. Nothing live on the SS website yet, but if you google "Slingshot Kite 2018" there is a lot out t...

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????

Still snowkiting. June. Damn. Way to get after it Matt. When this melts, you may only get 5 "dry" months this year before you are back on snow.

Re: Slingshot Rally vs. Turbine

Laying flat on ground both 9m Turbine and 10m Rally 2012 are the same area. Bottom line question -what are those kites true sizes and which one is off Both? Neither? You'll never know. It doesn't mean what it used to mean. I suppose at one point it was the actual projected area. These days, they ar...

Re: Ocean Rodeo stick shift bar

...Maybe the stick-shift does not give you instant depower, but how many times have you been in a situation in which you need to fully depower in a second? With the stick-shift that second becomes 3seconds. It's easier to depower than to power the kite. Also a major plus of a stick-shift is that it...

Re: Ocean Rodeo stick shift bar

Look how easy it is to power/depower your kite... https://www.facebook.com//KiteClub.gr/videos/1563321257042978 That video doesn't make it looks easy. Looks like much more of a pain than just pulling on a trim strap. (crank, crank, crank, crank....) I'm not a hater, I like what these bars have to o...
