Re: Inflatable kites for land/snow kiting

Ok thanks a lot, I think I may just look into getting a 9 meter, then I can use that for heavy wind on the water.

Re: Inflatable kites for land/snow kiting

So you'd say with average snow I could probably get by with a 7-9m kite? Around here the snow isn't usually very powdery, but does have SOME powder. I just don't want to go out to the field with my 12m, power up and go flying off into the distance...haha.

Re: Inflatable kites for land/snow kiting

Ok thanks a lot everyone. I was under the impression that being on the land I didn't need as large of a kite to get the necessary power. Would I be alright just using my 12m Omega on the average wind day? I thought that'd give me too much power.

Inflatable kites for land/snow kiting

Over the summer I picked up a 12m Cabrinha Omega and bar, so I've been playi...

Re: Question about first kite

Yeah thats what I was worried about. I didn't want to drop 400 bucks on a used kite only for it to fall apart on me on my third run. Although on the other hand some of them are going for as cheap as 150, which is worth it for the bar and lines alone, which makes a tempting deal...

Re: Question about first kite

Ah alright thanks alot. I was actually flying one of those best 2.8/3m kites the other day in really high winds, I know they do have quite a bit of pull, enough to drag my 215 pound friend across the ground! The only reason I was real interested in the TSR was because A it was a 4 line kite thus pre...

Question about first kite

Hey guys I just joined up a little while ago and have been searching around the boards for an answer but can't seem to find one. There seems to be alot of trainer kites out there, ranging from 1.8-3.6 square meters, all different brands and sizes, some 2 line and some four line. I've flown my neighb...
