Re: Barbados

www.windguru.com

www.windy.com

Are both accurate

When I (73 kg) go to Silver Sands I take 14.5, 12, 9, with surfboard and Foil. This should cover you 95% of the time.

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Bletti, if you have the normal SpitFire Wings how would you compare them to the XLW wings. When do you decide to use Normal vs XLW?

Re: Hung Vu, a kitesurfing pioneer, how did he help you?

We had no kiteboard instructors in our area when I first started kiting. I often went to Hung Vu's web site to learn new techniques.
I thought it was cool that he was a fellow Canadian.

Re: Concept'air 12m Pulsion kite

I agree with Regis-de-giens there would be alot of overlap with your SV 3. The difference would be in the extreme low end where the CA P would stay in the air in one or two knots less and avoid a swim in.

Re: Hydro-Foiling on the Waves

I ride the Takuma Concept 100. Since the front wing is so large and generates alot of lift you will find the need to have more front foot pressure. Hence your forward front foot position. You can try placing the foil further to the rear but there are limits. I find that I am so far OK riding on smal...

Re: Concept'air 12m Pulsion kite

I (73 kg) ride the 12 M Concept Air "Light" for KBH only. I take it out in 8 kts plus but it will stay in the air with 4 kts. Benoit does not recommend the Light material for snowkiting. I have not had any issues with it in the water. It would be a good foil kite for snowkiting and freestyle in the ...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Flite Impressions

I have the OR Flite's (2015) 7.5, 10, 12, 14.5 They are my main go to kites for KBH. I usually fly them with 28 m lines. In the air they are easy to depower and pivot nicely for transitions. Like Regis-de-giens my only negative is that I find them hard to relaunch in 8 kts and under. The easiest rel...

Re: Hydrofoil board for beginner, cheaper VS expensive

My favourite beginner Hydrofoil board is the Slinghshot Alien Air (2015, 2016). Decent volume (some say volume is not necessary but I like it for beginners), standard plate box (adaptable to many brands), option of 3, 2 or 1 footstraps. I learn't on it and still use it as my light wind KBH. I have r...

Re: Put your NAME on it! Another lost KBHF!

Agree 100% RH. I put my e-mail address and 'REWARD FOR RETURN' on all my boards. One of my kite buddies lost his KBHF on a 40 km lake last year in offshore winds. He searched for a couple of days and couldn't find it. Luckily a kiter who is a Marine police officer spotted it in a small cove stuck in...
