Re: Stolen board and hydrofoil

Just returned from Barbados and kept a look out for your board. Most of the local kiters I spoke with feel that it was not stolen my a Bajan but rather a tourist passing through.
If it was still on the island the local kiters say they would have heard about it by now.
Good luck with your search.

Re: How do you dismount?

I like to ride in towards shore toe side. I keep the kite near 12 and go as slow as I can. Just before I drop off the foil. I jump to the side and put my front arm out to grab the foilboard as it rises. I can then body drag through the shore break or walk on the bottom with board tucked under my fro...

Re: snow kiting toronto area

Snow kiting Dec 25, 26 on Cooks bay at the bottom of Glenwoods Rd. Claredon Park should also be OK now. Snowmobiles and Fish huts are out on Cooks bay. Conditions - hard paced snow with ice patches.

Re: Freeride kite for hydrofoiling

If you want to get the most out of a light wind kite for freeride KBH take a look at the mid aspect foil kites. Lots of info here on KF.

Re: What you think to learn balance?

I have a number of Balance boards. I made my own Goof board and Dirt Sun. I use them with different size PVC pipes and Foam rollers. Also get a BoSu ball which you can use with the Goof board. I am currently working on moving/balancing apparatus with a kite bar to hold onto to practice air tacks and...

Re: Concept'air 12m Pulsion kite

I wouldn't have believed it either if I wasn't watching. The flag was on a pole about 5 m high and it was totally lifeless. The kiter was about 200 m away from the flag.
I have launched my 12 m Pulsion (light) in 4 kts from shore often but I wouldn't kite on the water with 4 kts.

Re: Concept'air 12m Pulsion kite

I was kiting in Santa Lucia, Cuba a couple of weeks ago. We ended up having unusually light wind. The first day we went to the beach in the late afternoon and there was about 2 - 6 kts of wind. A kiter was out on a large foil kite and KBH. When he came in to shore I helped him land his kite. It turn...

Re: Foil balance question

I ride the Manta 1 and Manta 2 foils with the back of the plate at 5 cm on the AA and found this to be the most comfortable. I know there are different foils but it can't hurt trying your foil at this position.

Re: Barbados

www.windguru.com

www.windy.com

Are both accurate

When I (73 kg) go to Silver Sands I take 14.5, 12, 9, with surfboard and Foil. This should cover you 95% of the time.

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Bletti, if you have the normal SpitFire Wings how would you compare them to the XLW wings. When do you decide to use Normal vs XLW?
