Re: Flysurfer Peak with hydrofoil?

Yes, I have a Peak3 12m I use with big SUP foils. Here's my rant on it http://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=1015681#p1015681 edit: Just read my old rant and the few things that I can add. I now use itwith the GoFoil Iwa (much bigger than the Takuma v100) and I can get upwind in less than 8mph. 6mph ...

Re: Need Slingshot CSS Bungee, what year is my control bar

The original idea was to hook the leash right into point A. When you release the QR the kite flags to the center line. You can't loop or unhook like with newer bars but the safety's better than the velcro strap connected to the arm idea before it. If you put a bungee on that bar and eject, the O ri...

Re: Spleene Zone 5'6"

I have the 5'6 and love it. Also have the older 174cm Zone and Surf Doors 5'1 and 5'10. There are a few threads about it on the forum, just search. It took me a while to fall in love with the original Zone. One day it clicked and it became my to go board for a long time. Picked up the 5'6 when it ca...

Attach the single trap to the middle screw hole and one of the fin bolts.
Is there a middle screw hole hidden under the traction pad? Or is it missing from V6? Or am I the one missing something here? :)
Hmm strange, mine has one there.

Re: Mod a pump with a high pressure setting?

Er.. that pump only has one mode doesn't it? Edit: I had to read reviews to see that it has a valve. Not seen that in a cheap pump before. But I like your low tech idea of a simple bung. Will try that on an old pump. You don't need a fancy valve, all you need is a hole at the top and a plug. Open t...

Re: Waterproof cell phone recommendation

I personally wanted a cell phone for work notifications. Marine radio is nice if you sail in a vessel heavy spot like the Crissy Field. But where I sail there's no one out and the coast guard station is faaaaaaar away. I have an ACR Resqlink PLB that I sometimes attach to the harness but my regular ...

Re: Waterproof cell phone recommendation

Perfect topic timing! I just got a Samsung S3 Frontier LTE watch/phone. And after activating it and being all stoked I naturally decided to google it's potentials, you know do research AFTER I buy it.... Though Samsung site says IP68 which turns out means diddly squat. First and only th...

Re: Boards with Tuttle box and tracks

Exactly, just tracks set around the tuttle. The SUP guys have been doing it for a while. The board needs to be pretty thick for a deep tuttle to work though. I'm just using the GoFoil adapter on the tracks and prefer it much better. I like the adjustability with the tracks. https://www.standupzone.c...

Re: Mod a pump with a high pressure setting?

You don't need a fancy valve, all you need is a hole at the top and a plug. Open the hole when you want no pressure pulling the pump up. Or just get a $15 pump that has one already built in. https://www.amazon.com/Airhead-Double-Action-Hand-Pump/dp/B000FE5PEC/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1535055788&sr=8-9...
