Re: Will spleene ever make the zone board again?

Oh Spleene! What have you done! :( As a self-proclaimed Zone aficionado and owner of the original 174x44, Zone 5'6 and SurfDoors 5'1 and 5'7 I was pretty stoked to see an update on the site a month back mentioning a new Zone was coming. I was dreaming of a new carbon Zone in a PVC foam construction ...

Re: Ozone Explore V1

Interesting. Doesn't look much different than a Peak3 to me. Most of the video looping shows a 6m. If their 12m is faster than my 12m Peak3 and comes in ultralight at a reasonable price, I might have to give it a try for water. There's a Gin Shaman 12m on eBay but from the landboarding forum, I didn...

Re: New Quick Release System?

Gaastra MQR2 Page 31 https://ga-kiteboarding.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2014/06/2015gk-brochure-v2-20150304-LW.pdf It just substitutes the bungee for magnets. I'm not feeling the dog-leash QR, it doesn't seem to have as much rotation as would be needed for a kite QR. Seems like the reason you ca...

Re: Custom Hardshell made in shop.. would it work?

Awesome idea! Not sure how well the resin would spread and saturate through the carbon/glass inside the bag though. And if you pour too much resin, wouldn't the structure become weaker? Edit: What I'd really like in a harness, other than the hardhsell and material that doesn't absorb water (have bot...

Re: Do you wash your wetsuit with fresh water?

Throw my suits in the washer after a sesh. Have been doing it for years. From back in the day in the top loaders with agitators and now front loaders. Use a little of regular detergent. Do the same for all my wet clothing/booties after each sesh. Yes, I know it's not recommended. Then I dry the wet...

Re: Flysurfer Peak with hydrofoil?

Yes, I have a Peak3 12m I use with big SUP foils. Here's my rant on it http://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=1015681#p1015681 edit: Just read my old rant and the few things that I can add. I now use itwith the GoFoil Iwa (much bigger than the Takuma v100) and I can get upwind in less than 8mph. 6mph ...

Re: Need Slingshot CSS Bungee, what year is my control bar

The original idea was to hook the leash right into point A. When you release the QR the kite flags to the center line. You can't loop or unhook like with newer bars but the safety's better than the velcro strap connected to the arm idea before it. If you put a bungee on that bar and eject, the O ri...

Re: Spleene Zone 5'6"

I have the 5'6 and love it. Also have the older 174cm Zone and Surf Doors 5'1 and 5'10. There are a few threads about it on the forum, just search. It took me a while to fall in love with the original Zone. One day it clicked and it became my to go board for a long time. Picked up the 5'6 when it ca...
