Re: lightwind surfboard

What I meant was, most of the kite brands don't have a "big" sizes in their line-up, and they have maybe one light wind board but they don't seem to exceed 30L. Completely agree with this. My Airush Cypher 5'10 is 31L and 5’10” x 22 3/4” x 3 1/2". This thing is as big as my Sector v6 60 except for ...

Re: lightwind surfboard

I consider light wind 12-16 kt I don't think at 100kg you'll have much fun in 12-16knt on a 12m and that board. Maybe 15knots+ but depends on your skill level. I have a 2015 Airush Cypher which was over three inches thick and around 31L. Because it has lots of volume, I can make it work in 12-16kno...

Re: lightwind surfboard

According to the North website they recommend the board for 70-90kg: https://www.northkiteboarding.com/products/twintips/surf/wam/ It really depends on what you consider "light wind" but I don't think it'll be a "light wind" board for you. Though it'll be better than a small twintip. There are bigge...

Re: Do all kites invert equally?

I've inverted my Slingshot SST 10m and 12m on quite a few occasions. I've done it on pretty much with all of my kites but these two just stand out as I can remember it happening more often with them. The short bridle just acts weird during relaunch.

Re: Ebay dispute

Frankly, this is not about the money, but about principles, which is why I'm asking all of you here. I'd like to be fair and neither take advantage of others being naive nor allow others to take advantage of me being naive. Whenever I list something on eBay I try to describe every litle scratch, im...

Re: Ebay dispute

I wouldn’t personally buy that, plus it doesn’t appear that it is visible on your image. I would also suggest that this is very obvious age related wear that you should have noticed and mentioned. If the guy wants to keep it then you just have to agree on how much less it is worth. I would guess th...

Re: Ke Nalu hydrofoil

Awesome! Love my GoFoil Iwa for kiting but definitely feels a bit big when the wind picks up. I scored a Nalu wing which I had to adapt to my fuselage and I realy don't like it, it's more of a kite-wing than a surf wing. Maybe in huge waves it would be better? But for tiny slop it's just too small a...

Re: Feedback on 2015 Liquid Force Rocket Fish Foil (not board)

Learned on one as well. Not the best wings but they're easy to learn on. There are some great surf/sup aftermarket wings for it now. There are also the Happy Foil wings on sale for it at a decent price since LF has new models. They're a direct fit and would give you a lot more room to progress. Stic...

Re: Is directional more fun than door in LW?

Good points everyone, thanks again :thumb: . There it is now, Sector 60. Just bought it and had first ride with hardly any wind. Had to keep working the 17 m kite just to keep it in air while standing in water. Still managed to go around some. Oh my this thing can go upwind in low wind :o . https:/...

Re: Is directional more fun than door in LW?

I have a Sector 60, had the Monster Door, have a few foils. It all depends on how light you want to go; it's foil > Sector > Door. Having fun is all about being able to ride, if you can't ride you can't have fun. Then it depends on your style of riding. If you're only about jumping, your option is o...
